I want to order BTO soon. US customer here. So are all US orders being shipped by FedX or FedX ground ? Which shipper is Apple contracted with ?

Sorry if this has already been answered but it's FedEx out of China to the US. The only UPS deliveries I've seen are ones that go to Canada. They still get to the US on FedEx then after customs, go over to UPS for Canadian shipments.

Can someone give me an idea whether the shipping estimates are accurate?

Ordered on Apr 19th, 15",i7,AG HR, 7200 HD

We estimate your order to be shipped 5 - 7 business days.
We estimate your order will be delivered to your shipping address
on or before 07 May, 2010 - 12 May, 2010.

This has changed to 06 May 2010 - 11 May. 2010.

Are these estimates a good indication of when the notebook is likely to arrive? I imagine being in the U.K. recent events may be adding to the shipping time? This could be 3 weeks, (or more, I suppose ) in total, has this been the norm for delivery to the U.K.?

If the answers are somewhere in this 94 page thread I apologies for being daunted by the task.

mine came ups to ATlanta, but was one of very few. i think 2-3 others on this thread in US were waiting for UPS shipments. mine came today.

Love this keyboard. my first laptop. have had an iMac for years, and used my husband's thinkpads over the years, but i'm so excited to be mobile.

In the same boat as everyone else,
Im in the UK
ordered 15" antiglare on date of release.

No other shipping info is available.

As I have already ordered and received one I can tell you that the build schedule has been pushed back a few days (no idea why). Once it goes "prepared for shipment" it'll be on a plane for Anchorage or Memphis. Hope for Memphis as they do a better job of getting it to you that same day it lands in Memphis. If it lands in Anchorage you should get it the next day UNLESS it gets transferred over to UPS, then you might have to add another day.

Watch the China traces. If it says "Package received after FedEx cutoff" then it'll take another day in China. FedEx doesn't fly to Anc on Mondays (China time) so that screwed me up a bit. However, even with that and the Anchorage delay (and I live in Anchorage and still have to wait a day) I received my MBP custom order as followed:

Apr 19, 2010 9:00 (China time) PMAt local FedEx facility SHANGHAI CN

Apr 21, 2010 9:37 AM Delivered ANCHORAGE, AK

Hope this helps.

I was following every movement of mine and this whole thread from the moment I ordered mine the evening they began to sell on Tuesday the 13th. I have now decided to return it and get the Hi Res Glossy (ordered and received the Hi Res Anti-glare). So I'm playing the game all over.

For my birthday my friend ordered me the high-end 15" (standard configuration) this morning from Macmall.com. This will be the best birthday present ever. Even as I type this my crappy Lenovo keyboard is sticking. I could see myself going insane posting in this thread every 15 mins, complaining about shipping times, so I asked my friend to do overnight shipping. Got my Fedex confirmation number a little while ago, and it'll be here by 3:00pm tomorrow. Wooho! :D

Your friend must be a multi-millionaire!
Also, can I be friends with your friend?

TNT has a rather slow updating tracking mechanism.
Last update gave the update 12 hours after the actual event took place.
And now it has been stuck on the current status for 24 hours... Seems very unlikely to me that they are using a plane that somehow manages to fly for over 24 hours.
If they do ship it straight to NZ I will get it today, If they for some reason first drop it somewhere else I will have to wait till saturday, If they deliver on saturday of course.

Does anybody have any idea how they normally ship from Shanghai to New Zealand?

I ordered mine on the 13th, and the email I got from Apple said it should deliver by tomorrow. It's currently sitting on the other side of the country... you're breaking my balls here UPS.

Tomorrow is Friday too, I do not want to wait another weekend.

Been waiting since the 16th too, was really hoping the status would change around now.

I'm also wondering if the status ever really changes from "Not yet shipped" outside of business hours in China.

Okay, maybe a bit of hope for us Europeans stuck with the "Not yet shipped" & "Estimated delivery: 28th/29th" status since the 14th/15th. I called the Apple Store Support, and after a fare bit of insisting, I got something resembling a status quo.

Obviously, they have far greater detailed info on the actual build of the orders than we have: The representative assured me that the latest status from the factory was that a whole batch of MBPs ordered around the 14th/15th and intended for delivery in Europe would be shipped as of today, thereby estimated to be arriving in the Netherlands (Rotterdam) just after the weekend and hence making a delivery on the 28th/29th quite believable. He said that I should be getting an email later today from the Apple Store, with the status on my order updated to "Shipped". The delay and the lack of info was partly due to the airports being closed down, but also partly due to an excessive demand for usual and CTO MBPs following the update - however, they still maintain the 28th/29th as probable delivery dates, and hence the lack of updates to the estimated delivery date.

Just as a note, the shipping dates in the Danish Apple store have slipped to "in 5-7 business days" for several MBP models (probably the most popular), and even the ones with shipping status "Within 24hours" slip to "5-7 business days" if one changes ANYTHING on them - that is, if it in any way is a CTO machine, then there is the additional 5-7 days delay.

Finger's crossed from Copenhagen.

Sounds promising. I wrote Apple Support earlier today, but they couldn't say anything besides apologizing. Hopefully you're right and we'll see our MBPs shipped today (ordered on the 15th aswell). Nice to see a fellow Dane on here :D

Good - hope this means mine as well. Now I'll be checking my email all day to see if they confirm shipping, they already charged me the full amount on the 16th, the day after I ordered..
