FYI, I ordered a custom MBP and got the shipping notification today. It is set to deliver on the 12th.

Its going to be a long weekend...

In this day and age I cannot believe that Apple are unable to project basic sale figures for a product launch, then have a supply available for that particular country on that day. Just seems like bad PR.

Oh and one more fly in the UK delivery times ointment-
Postman Pat throws a strop!
Knowing my luck it'll probably mean mine is stuck in a sorting office in Basingstoke for an age.

I may be wrong here, but I don't think a strike by Royal Mail would impact our deliveries as I don't think Apple uses Royal Mail for computers... thankfully!! :D

I'm from Canada and live an hour outside of a major city (package take longer). I bought my MBP on Tuesday (the hour it came out) and Fedex says my MBP should be at my house Monday by 6PM. People in bigger western Canadian cities could expect it sooner.

Or maybe it's the other way around :)

Huh? I ordered my Macbook two days ago less than a few hours after the store came back up, and yours ships the day you order it? I'm very confused...

You ordered yours a couple hours ago and already have shipment notification?

I don't really understand these timings either. My order was placed approx. 2pm GMT on 5th June (specs below) and quoted 8th June for shipping. I've yet to have any shipping confirmation.

Clearly the 17's and 160gb/7200 drives are taking longer, but it all seems a bit random to me.

Has anyone ordering a 17" had confirmation of shipping as yet?

I ordered the basic 17" and its in transit. Maybe yours is taking a little longer because of the added screen.

I just got my freaking confirmation mail and I ordered: Order Date: Jun 5, 2007 at 12:51 PM PDT

I ordered a stock 2.2 MBP Glossy at 2am today.
My account hs been charged for the iPod, but it hasn't shipped out yet.

My MBP estimates are a ship out by the 12th and a delivery by the 18th. My own personal estimate is it arriving on the 13th.
