Has your SR MBP shipped yet?

Hi everyone,

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. :)

I placed my order for the new MBP at roughly 9:45 AM EST on Tuesday. The MPB has shipped and I've received a tracking number - estimated time of delivery, according to FedEx, is Monday by noon, but I've got all of my digits crossed in the hopes that it will arrive before the weekend! :D I've been putting off replacing my Powerbook G4 for a long time, and now the anxiety is killing me!
 
I placed my order (2.4 15" stock) on the 5th 8:30am PST and FedEx says I should have it by Monday at 10:30am

Anyone one what cable I need to connect the MBP to an Apple HiFi speaker?
 
Fed Ex just stopped by and dropped off my MacBook Pro Airline Power Adapter.

I still haven't gotten a estimated delivery time from Fed Ex on the MacBook pro yet, though it is in "Shipment exception" in Shanghai.
 
I ordered June 5th at like 11:50pm (CST) and my free iPod is supposed to arrive tomorrow, but the MacBook Pro won't be shipping until some time between June 8th and 12th, with an estimated delivery date between the 12th and 18th.
 
Hmm... My MBP has been scanned again. This time the activity just said "In Transit."

I am hoping that it has been in transit for much longer than just since 9:26PM on the 7th (China Time) (8:26AM on the 7th central time)...This is what mine says...what about you guys??

Hmm..I wonder if it got on a plane when it "Left Origin" or if it got on plane when it became "In Transit"....

Bah, I will have it by Monday...just a few days away!!

In this day and age I cannot believe that Apple are unable to project basic sale figures for a product launch, then have a supply available for that particular country on that day. Just seems like bad PR.

i know the nonces at our local depot already work at a sloths pace and the bad bit is they work 7am till 1pm

so if you miss a package, well if you can make it down there early on the morning fine, but they seem to forget people have to go a little place known as work all day. so i usually end up having to go in late, because its shut when i come home.

i swear they are the laziest, slowest people on earth. on average it takes the man behind the counter, 15mins to dig my packages out and they have the cheek to ask for more money? JOKE

good think apple dont use them..... i have recieved numerous packages from the royal mail in pretty bad shape and late. one was a photo of my and my gf at a prom, she even wrote on it FRAGILE in big letters all over, it was reinforced with card board and everything.....it still came like some schmuck had wiped his arse with it.
 
I'm guessing it gets on the plane when it's "In Transit." Mine has been "picked up" and "left origin" but the "package [was] received after fedex cutoff." This is now at about a 50% shipment exception rate with fedex from Apple for me (I have terrible visions of getting emails from apple about my mbp being destroyed in transit like my [previous] ipod was). But my new ipod is here, and we are having some fun.

And it's about time I see a new laptop; my :apple: ibook dual usb is not quite top-of-the-line these days.

Yeah, that'd be my guess too... I guess that means it would be HIGHLY unlikely for me to receive my package tomorrow. Oh well... I will just have to wait it out...

However...check this old thread out...It seems that maybe it actually did get on a plane when it "Left Origin" I don't see anyone elses tracking data that says "In Transit" only...hmmm...

Ask for free overnight shipping because of their mistake.

Pretty sure left origin doesn't mean its on the plane yet. This is what mine says

Well drono., it looks like we're on the same boat. But hopefully plane--and leaving 'tomorrow' out of Shanghai.

Got my shipping info today.

iPod shipped on the 6th, coming tomorrow w/ USB modem

MBP shipped on the 7th, coming on the 12th.

I'm impressed :D


I got the low-end MBP w/ a 160 GB custom drive. Awesome!

You're lucky I ordered the same thing earlier in the day and still no word. Enjoy it.
 
Does the fact that my old MBP has been replaced by the new one justify placing me at the end of the ordering queue?

Does the fact that I am not living in the US justify placing me at the end of the ordering queue?

Well, then, Apple, give me my MacBook Pro. I paid for it. :eek:

My ipod nano came from China - It WAS on a plane after 'In Transit.' The next update after 'In Transit' was 'Arrived' in Alaska...

Interestingly, the battery hasn't shipped while the cinema display has. Tracking through purolator (to Canada) isn't working yet though.
 
Ordered my 15" 2.4 on tuesday, to be shipped june 8th. Delivery 13-14 june. Wednesday I called in to check the order (wasn't sure about the keyboard). I asked if this would have influence on the shipping date and they told me it was ok. Later I checked again and the shipping date changed to 13th of June and delivery at 18-19. :mad:
One more week waiting...hope there's not going to be more nasty surprises.:(
 
I called Apple today to add a printer to my order, which was a big fiasco because now i have two printers coming and I have to return one.
My iPod shipped just an hour ago and will arrive tomorrow.

The lady I spoke with said I can make no further changes as my order is being prepared for shipment, and Apple is working really hard this week to get everything out.
My printers are shipping today and my MBP should go out tomorrow per the lady I spoke with.

I ordered at 3am this morning.
 
My 4GB Nano has arrived, but my 15" MBP with 4GB RAM has yet to ship. I ordered early Tuesday morning.
