No movement on my 2 orders with 17-24th window on IUP. There are 6 local Apple stores that have the Silver 256 in stock. If I cancel the order where I have a new enrollment into the IUP does it need to wait to reset and a new hard pull if I sign up in store?
That is the only I could do mine. 256 Verizon Space Grey. I had to cancel my pre-order... then after about 2-3 mins.... Apple.com would finally let me order another one.
If you bought the phone outright just cancel the order and wait a few minutes before reserving the phone. If you have IUP I don't know how that works. If you walk-in than I would get to the store when they open. It's 7:30am here in Southern California and the first two hours of reservations were already taken. So the longer you wait the more you risk them selling out again (although it seems like they have plenty in stock today.)
Honestly - this is the weirdest Apple launch I've ever seen. Preorders take a backseat to store stock.

More than half of the pre-order people can walk into the store and buy one and cancel their pre-order. I had a December 11th ship date and went to the Apple Store at 7:45am and was still able to pick up a phone...ON LAUNCH DAY.

It was made up, can’t really blame the company. We as the customers fell into the hype trap. Either way enjoying my new X
How dare you try to pick anything up before your scheduled pickup time. You’re nobody, yet you feel you’re entitled. Fact is, you’re not. You’re the one who scheduled it for 5pm, therefore you’re even more of a bozo if you can’t make your schedule work for the time YOU CHOSE!
So I have a pending IUP order 256 sg Verizon scheduled delivery 16-24 with no cc charge. There are a ton of local pickups available in the Dallas area. I just waited on hold for 35 minutes with 1800-MY-APPLE and was told that if I canceled I would have to wait a week before I would be able to apply for a new IUP loan for local pickup. Does this sound janky to anyone else?
Mine has been stuck in Korea for almost 30 hours with no movement but that arrival scan on the 3rd.

I picked one from store yesterday on IUP and after it went through, I canceled the pre-order on IUP and that loan got closed minutes later.
Add me to those who cancelled PreOrder this morning. 256 GB SG AT&T paid in full. Confirmation email at 3:23 am EDT. Nov. 17-24 delivery. No bump, no charge, no change. Woke up this morning and saw availability at several local Apple Stores. Cancelled pre order, waited 5 minutes and placed new order for store pickup with 10am-10:30am window. 20 minutes at Store and just walked out with new X. So much for PreOrders at 3 am Eastern. Good luck to those still waiting.

meu problema era pior, eu chego dia 08 e vo embora dia 14 e minha ordem estava agendada para entrega entre 17-24 de novembro...
hoje fiz uma nova ordem com pickup at the store e resolvi o problema.
So this is strange. Delivery was bumped up to Nov 8 (per Apple email... app still says Nov 16-24). UPS shows Nov 6 by EOD. This morning I got an notification from he Apple Store app that “Today’s the day. Items in my order will arrive today.” UPS still says stuck in Korea (though I’m sure they just haven’t been on top of the scanning) and delivers the 6. Nothing has changed on the Apple Store app. Thought they didn’t do Saturday deliveries. Could be the trade-in kit?? But I can’t track that. So confused. Anyone else get a notification like his today?

Add another one to the list. I canceled both of my "no movement" Nov 17-24 pre-orders and will be picking up two phones this afternoon with in-store pick up. With stock like this, why would anyone bother pre-ordering?

I was told I would have to wait at least 24 hours for the loan to “reset” to allow me to get a phone in store. So ridiculous!!
Update: It’s the trade-in kit. Tracking info finally showed it’s out for deliver. Womp womp.
