Are they blowing air when they say try to get you move to 11/3? My concern is the 11/3 should’ve been shipped by now right? Is there a way for you to get the 11/3 if it wasn’t shipped? There’s gotta be a cut off ship day in order to even receive the phone on 11/3.

UPS could have a flight leave China on Thursday (our Thursday) morning and still have it to Louisville to break up into regional shipments same day (late afternoon) - some of which could be delivered Friday morning.

We've seen it happen in the past - when UPS wants to move **** fast, they sure can!!!

As for all of the 11/3's being shipped yet, nope, there's at least a bunch still on the tarmac at ZhengZhou airport....we haven't seen anyone with updated tracking showing that they've left for Anchorage yet.

Edit: There were some people that got allocation from the shipments Apple already had in NA, but the bulk of pre-orders will be shipped from China from here on out.

But how '***fast***' is a launch day iPhone really going to be? I mean Apple isn't going to put more margin into paying for express shipping on a single order to get it moving faster.

It did cause confusion, I thought he meant his phone and posted and asked him how he bought it etc...

But, I am not going to get mad about that. Everyone here is a little testy right now I gather. I know I am not happy!

Apple said no freebies via chat. Guess you have to call and get nasty on the phone if you want to pursue a case or anything. I got a free case one time, preferred my cheap one over the Apple case anyway. ;-) I don't feel like getting nasty on the phone over it.

Chat cannot give you free cases, only a Senior Apple Advisor can, which means you have to get on the phone...talk to the Apple Advisor, say you are still not satisfied and you want to talk to their boss which would be a Senior Apple Advisor.

They likely don't need to. If anything, they were likely conservative. I think there's still a good chance people that just missed the launch day delivery might get updated mid-week with an 11/3 delivery window.

Edit: The times that we've seen UPS really pull out the stops - I'm guessing those are deliveries that UPS had committed to and was in jeopardy of not hitting the dates.
 
Staying hopeful that we will see a bump up but not going to lose sleep over it. I’ve alrrady adjusted to having it a couple weeks after release.

Same, if the group of the 10th got bumped up I would be ecstatic that we get them the 10th through the 17th. Especially since our group falls around Thanksgiving. With travel plans it gets complicated.

Well, there was an error with most everyones order in here. The app had issues, the website had issues. Like I said, the App would not let me get past the AT&T info part, and then on the website I had a 11/3 delivery iPhone X and I got all the way to checkout, clicked on checkout and the site glitched and I had to start over and then lost my 11/3 and got 11/17-11/24. I think we should be entitled to Apple doing everything they can possibly do to get us our orders on launch day!

Same I also had in store pick up for the 3rd... then I got that "we reserved your spot" came back to pay for everything and it was shipping 17-24 and no in store pickup....

Same here. I also had the ATT error issue. Feel free to sit around and wait, but I personally am going to do everything in my power to get my phone on November 3rd.

Same exact issue for me, I logged this complaint with Apple, was told that's too bad.

They should not be quoting one delivery date at the start of the process and then change it on you at the last step of checkout.

They should not be upgrading IUP customers because of "issues" when there were plenty of the same kind of issues for others.

Right, and therefore we have the right to bitch about all of this! I have a feeling that I will go nowhere if I call Apple and complain, maybe a free case, but I already bought a case and it is already on the way. I guess I could get another one or see if they would give me a Belkin wireless charging pad???

I have a feeling we're going to see these well before 17-24. There's a big gap between Nov. 3rd and Nov. 17, and not a lot of orders left (it seems) with dates in between.

Isn't there a 11/10-11/17 group, or am I mistaken? If not, then yes we should see them on 11/17 or before.

Called a few minutes ago regarding said gift card and was told they do not offer gift cards. Instead I was offered a case or a charging pad. I was about to accept the charging pad but felt compelled to ask if there was anything else because I don’t need a case and I don’t plan on using a charging pad. She offered me AirPods which I quickly accepted.

That's a hell of a deal!!
 
But is that really an issue that It said delivery date of 11/3 all the way until checkout? You aren’t the only one checking out at that time and it’s not like your cart sticks with you throughout checkout process. You had delivery dates until thousands of others got the order in before you. I think all these are irrelevant and basically means most people didn’t get the order in on time. Sites and apps come up before others. It’s just the way that preorders go.

Most folks don’t have an issue with the order. We knew sites were going to be slammed and issues like this would occur. We all want them on release date sure but supply and demand won’t let us be great so we have to take wha we get. Be glad you aren’t waiting until December. I think some are so entitled and feel like they must get it on day 1. First world problems Folks.

One fun thing to consider is for those of us on the IUP if the next iPhone is released in September we will have to pay around 2 months of payments at once to be eligible to upgrade to it since our iPhone X's are coming mid-late November...

You’re not entitled to anything. It’s a phone. Get a grip on reality. Sure it sucks that you didn’t get a launch day delivery. But if this is the worst thing that ever happens to you, I think you’ll be ok.

This!! I’m glad isn’t doing anything about it because they shouldn’t. Demand was high for the phone and the odds of getting them on launch day were slim. Sites were overloaded and the App Store app didn’t come up. It was what to be expected. Dates slipped and people are calling Apple to complain, sadly this is what phones have done to us these days. Lol
