Makes you wonder if 1) Apple knows they biffed up the online ordering process and 2) if they are going to ship all of the "yet to be shipped" 3-5 business days ipads overnight because they know it won't happed in the original expected delivery time.
Just checked my online order status...shipping has been changed from standard to priority.
But don't they do overnight shipping anyway? Although standard shipping shows up, products usually arrive way before target date. I think Apple suggests standard delivery but actually ships out with Express shipping. I say this because this has been my personla experience in the past from previous debut launches like iPhone 4 and the original iPad.
Just a thought.

He said it should show up like that on the order but might take 24 hours to show. Mine hasn't change yet. Where did you see the standard chnage to priority?

Interesting. I just called customer service and they said there is absolutely no expedited shipping available for the iPad 2. They did however refund the purchase price of my smart cover. WTH?? Does every 3rd person who calls get different info? I spoke to a rep and then a supervisor. The supervisor was adamant that they gave a shipping and delivery window and they will meet that commitment, and that the posts I'm reading on 3rd party forums about others with tracking numbers and even delivered iPad 2's are false reports. Really???
I just called and they said the same thing, upgraded shipping to next business day!!!! For free!

I understand that people lost their life and they are having a hard time over in japan right now.. But I hate to say this and I hope it really doesn't come across the WRONG way but my life will go on with what happened in japan.. I made a donation to the red cross and I prayed for the families.. Other than that nothing more I can do so I move forward.... I feel for them but me being all the way in NJ there is nothing I can do..
I am thankful for what I have.. I am a lucky person.. I don't even want to imagine what they are going through, but that changes nothing about what's going on in my household or my state.. We all have problems...

I'm fine waiting for standard shipping, I just want it to get shipped! I ordered my 64 gig black wifi model at 12:55 PT in the first minutes of availability, hasn't even been "prepped for shipping" or whatever. Jeeze. I've seen enough reports that people's orders have been prepped for over 72 hours before they ship that I highly doubt mine will really ship by Thursday (the 5th of the 3-5 business days)
