I also talked to customer service today. They just said they are still within their time frame. He is sure that it will get processed within that time frame. My status is still unchanged. Ordered at 1:13 Friday.

Interesting. I just called customer service and they said there is absolutely no expedited shipping available for the iPad 2. They did however refund the purchase price of my smart cover. WTH?? Does every 3rd person who calls get different info? I spoke to a rep and then a supervisor. The supervisor was adamant that they gave a shipping and delivery window and they will meet that commitment, and that the posts I'm reading on 3rd party forums about others with tracking numbers and even delivered iPad 2's are false reports. Really???

Yep, my experience as well. And the refund of the cover does not show up on my online banking page even though that stuff usually shows right away. I personally at least find it a relief to have this forum to vent to.

Just called back CS and had a very interesting conversation...

She initially told me that she also couldn't upgrade shipping. But when I told her that I had seen others online upgraded to Priority...she told me that technically she 'could' upgrade it in the system, but that they had been told that it would not make any difference in shipping speed regardless of what the computer said. At that point she said she would be "more than happy" to change me to priority, but that she was 'certain' it would make no difference.

Oh well. At least I feel a little better.

Hahah, kind of figured it was too good to be true. I was skeptical when I spoke to CS and he offered the same thing, but what are you going to do, say no?
 
I called and said that my order had to be one of the first ones at 12:44 am pst and still says not yet shipped, and he said he could upgrade the shipping for free for the inconvenience.

Thanks, I think I beat you by 2 min to order so I'll give it a go for the lulz. :p

Ordered a 64GB ATT 3G on March 11 at 1:17 am PDT, 4:17 am my time, and has been stuck in "Not yet shipped" ever since.

Here's what I find frustrating.

I know I'm well within the estimated shipping dates, but was rubs me wrong is that people who ordered well after me already have their ipads delivered. Apple, dont make me wake up in the middle of the night to place an order only to have the order in which they are taken mean nothing at all.

And dont call standard shipping "fast" as it is certainly not. Thats misleading.

Whatever system they are following for fulfilling orders seems completely random. Arg. :mad:

Well said! Mine was ordered at 1:37 AM, certainly not an hour when I would want to be up and about, and is still "not yet shipped". It is maddening that others are receiving delivery and we are still refreshing the order page waiting for action. :mad::mad::mad:

You know, I don't want to burst any bubbles but I think they kind of make it up as they go along. One of the reps I talked to said all units are shipping from overseas. Reminds me of one of those customer service commercials, the big hairy guy that calls himself Peggy...

I ordered the exact same model 2 minutes before you.....and nothing. I agree with an earlier analogy. It's as if I was 50th in line....and I'm still waiting in that line...but people that were 100th in line already have their product.

I hope this is the case, I was told something similar form CS a little while ago. I ordered mine about 5 minutes before yours.

Yes I agree. One lady I talked to said mine was shipping from the US and the next guy said China. They are clueless. I paid like 610.00 on an apple gift card and like 70.00 on my debit card. They did offer to credit me 41.00 for the smart cover which was nice but they credited the gift card instead of my debit card which sucks. I just want to be moved from NOT YET SHIPPED. Just go ahead and assign me one. Doesn't look like any have been marked PREPARED TO SHIP today.
 
I ordered just shy of 6am EST, ordering had been open ~2 hours. It still said 3-5 days. I ordered a black AT&T 64GB model. My order status estimates March 18-25 (not yet shipped).

Kinda annoying actually.

As it happens I went to the Fifth Avenue store at 2am after launch. They had only Verizon models there. I bought one basically as a loaner (as in I'll take it back when my real one arrives).

I had hoped to pick up one for my sister from a store but in NYC at least it's been impossible. Still lines down the block in the morning. On day five no less!

I hope mine gets to "shipped" at least before the 2 week return window is up.

Yes for complaining. They offered to credit me for it and said that's all they could do. Basically I just told them I was disappointed that I woke up at 3:30 am eastern time to order and people who ordered and hour after me and got the same model already had them shipped and I am still stuck at this NOT YET SHIPPED status.

Damn, well I just called and tried complaining too...The lady just kept pushing the delivery date of Mar 18 - 25 and wouldn't budge on me. But then again, negotiating is not my forte. :eek:
