Interesting. I just called customer service and they said there is absolutely no expedited shipping available for the iPad 2. They did however refund the purchase price of my smart cover. WTH?? Does every 3rd person who calls get different info? I spoke to a rep and then a supervisor. The supervisor was adamant that they gave a shipping and delivery window and they will meet that commitment, and that the posts I'm reading on 3rd party forums about others with tracking numbers and even delivered iPad 2's are false reports. Really???
I also talked to customer service today. They just said they are still within their time frame. He is sure that it will get processed within that time frame. My status is still unchanged. Ordered at 1:13 Friday.

Just called back CS and had a very interesting conversation...
She initially told me that she also couldn't upgrade shipping. But when I told her that I had seen others online upgraded to Priority...she told me that technically she 'could' upgrade it in the system, but that they had been told that it would not make any difference in shipping speed regardless of what the computer said. At that point she said she would be "more than happy" to change me to priority, but that she was 'certain' it would make no difference.
Oh well. At least I feel a little better.
I called and said that my order had to be one of the first ones at 12:44 am pst and still says not yet shipped, and he said he could upgrade the shipping for free for the inconvenience.
Ordered a 64GB ATT 3G at 1:17 am PDT and has been stuck in "Not yet shipped" ever since.
Wheres what I find frustrating.
I know I'm well within the estimated shipping dates, but was rubs me wrong is that people who ordered well after me already have their ipads delivered. Apple, dont make me wake up in the middle of the night to place an order only to have the order in which they are taken mean nothing at all.
Also dont call standard shipping "fast" as it is certainly not. Thats misleading.
Whatever system they are following for fulfilling orders seems completely random. Arg.![]()

You know, I don't want to burst any bubbles but I think they kind of make it up as they go along. One of the reps I talked to said all units are shipping from overseas. Reminds me of one of those customer service commercials, the big hairy guy that calls himself Peggy...
Yes I agree. One lady I talked to said mine was shipping from the US and the next guy said China. They are clueless. I paid like 610.00 on an apple gift card and like 70.00 on my debit card. They did offer to credit me 41.00 for the smart cover which was nice but they credited the gift card instead of my debit card which sucks. I just want to be moved from NOT YET SHIPPED. Just go ahead and assign me one. Doesn't look like any have been marked PREPARED TO SHIP today.

Yes for complaining. They offered to credit me for it and said that's all they could do. Basically I just told them I was disappointed that I woke up at 3:30 am eastern time to order and people who ordered and hour after me and got the same model already had them shipped and I am still stuck at this NOT YET SHIPPED status.
