me and my brother are the only ones ive noticed so far that have iphones in our 38,000 population town. ive had multiple people say OMG is that an iphone?!?!?! and yesterday at a guitar center one worker there wouldn't let me leave until i showed him my iphone.:D

me! I've seen a lot of people with iPhones, and I have one too. It's sort of interesting, because when we both notice we have the same phone, there's this like thing where we both smile and maybe talk about it or something. Never did that with any other phone, nor have I seen that happen with any other phone. Pretty sweet :)

hopefully one day i'll see a pretty girl with an iphone, then i will have a conversation starter. I'll be like well since you have an iphone... And i have an iphone... You know... We might as well... Do this thing!:cool::cool:

You're using an iPhone to hook up with a chick?

I haven't haven't seen any where I live, but I see alot in NYC where I work. I guess that would be expected though.

And whats wrong with that?
That's got to be one of the weirdest ways I've seen yet. And most women with iPhones probably won't be very nice to guys with that kind of idea in mind. I for one would probably kick you in the balls if I figured it out.

It's a goddamn phone, and if you're going to hit on others just because they have one..dumb reason, and it's a waste of time because it's going to get you nowhere.

Damn should have noticed the godess part sooner, o well, haha. I woulnt say its not going to get me anywhere. Ive gotten a lot farther with worse than an iphone. Anyways im going to sleep. Good night all!

And Janey, your the one that said you talked to people just because you both had iPhones, so what's the deal?

One last thing, I didnt say I was going to hit on "others" only hunnys. And a hunny with an iPhone, you can't let that kind of opportunity slip away!

Because my talks are overwhelmingly with aging men (or rather, men 10+ years older than me) and revolve around "hey you have an iphone too! do you like it?".

Getting back on topic....

The only place I've seen iPhone-owning folks is at the Apple Store (DC area). And they're usually trying to pick out a new case.

i was flippin through last night and some dude on the golf channel had one. he was a pro golfer, it looked like he was on the internet. i haven't seen one in the wild besides me and my girlfriend though.

A couple of weeks ago when I was at the Baltimore Aquarium I saw a young woman holding her iPhone as she was sitting waiting for someone. I smiled, reached in my pocket, pulled mine out, waved it at her and said, "don't you just LOVE it?!" and she nodded, smiling back at me....

Interestingly enough, except in the Apple store itself I have yet to see anyone around my immediate area using one, though, even though I'm in the suburbs of Northern VA.

Like I said in another post:

During the X-Games Tony Hawk had one it front of him and I belive he has the Black rubber incase case.

There is a class mate in the business class I am taking who I believe purchased one on release day. Though I do not believe he stood in line or camped out for it. His iPhone is the only one I have seen in the wild so far.

But on my visits to the Galleria Apple store, the iPhone display area is absolutely mobbed, and the store in general is jam packed with shoppers. Apple Retail is doing very well indeed.

I still haven't seen one in the wild. I also haven't gotten a crowd of people to ask me about it either.

I have not seen anyone with it. I still feel weird using mine in public. Only because it seems like it is too far ahead of it's time. I feel like I am violating the "Prime Directive" or something to expose the average Joe to new technology.

Yes, ive seen about five others in the US and two others in Canada. I was in Canada about a week after the release.

Seen only two others so far. Our Pride Parade was a few weekends ago, and as I was taking pictures someone next to me took his iPhone out and was taking pictures as well. We gave each other a knowing, satisfied glance.

My friend Josh (who works for Apple) got his - as you may recall, Steve Jobs promised an iPhone for full time employees a month after iDay. He visited me at work, and it was neat seeing two iPhones side by side - we immedately shared what we did to ours (all those various apps out there).

By the way, Steve gave the employees 8 GIG phones - and not just sales folks, managers or other such-level employees - even the custodial staff at the Apple campus got one, didn't matter what your title was. Nice!

I've seen maybe two out there..one was yesterday with a guy walking into a grocery store. looked like he was maybe accessing the 'notes' for a shopping list or something. I do find myself busting out the iphone all the time when out and looking for the free wifi just out of curiousity.
