I am starting to see them more and more. At work, there are about 5 of them now. On a few flights last week, I saw a few. At defcon over the weekend, I saw a ton of them.

iPhone has been out 41 days now and I have still only seen one other person with it. I should mention that the other person is my friend that I waited in line with. My town only has about 80,000 people but the line at the store on the 29th was about 60 people long. I have also been out of town to bigger cities and am still yet to see another person with one.

A regular at the bar had one out.
And when I was shopping at walgreens I saw someone wearing the headphones of a hidden iPhone.

My girlfriend and I are the only people I've seen with iPhones since purchasing them nearly a month and a half ago (launch day).

It's kind of annoying because everyone wants to see/touch anytime I have it out because it's so rare to see one ...I did hear last night from a friend that he was hanging out with a few of the Buffalo Sabres last weekend - and one of them had it. That's about it in Buffalo so far. ha.

There was this guy with a walker coming out of a plane at LAX that had one clipped to his belt. I don't think he was THAT old though, maybe 50-ish or something. That's the only one I've seen so far, and that was just about a month ago.

I still haven't seen anybody else with one other that my mom's (which I bought at the same time as mine) and the one my boss had before he gave to his little sister. So in other words, I haven't seen any random people with one.

other than both my mother and father and a friend has one...

I saw a guy at a restaurant showing his off the night after the launch...

and then another punker looking girl at the schnucks grocery store in south city st. louis, which I thought kind of weird. I guess I've used mine there but I usually try to hide it... she was just waiting in line playing with it. looked like she was using safari. It took some restraint to not pull the iphone assassin game.

It is fun to keep an eye out for others with the iphone, and each time I see someone with one I'm still amazed. Having mine since the release day i never saw one in public, until these past few weeks. I have seen atleast four at the gym, and i am on a layover between flights right now and have seen three more in the Denver Airport.

I've had mine for 4 weeks, and haven't seen another while I'm out. However, yesterday I see 2!! I was in the Galleria, and saw a guy walking towards me with the mic on the white earbuds, so I knew he had one.

Later in the evening, I went out to a club and there was a girl sitting at a table with a few of her friends. I saw her iPhone on the table in front of her, but didn't know what type of case she had. I approached her and asked. We got into an iPhone discussion. She said she uses hers as a "guy magnet". She said she'll turn in on, put it on the table, and guys just flock to her asking her to see it. I had to laugh at that one!!

I went to a benefit concert tonight and the performer had one. Used it (mainly the ringtones) as a prop for a between-song joke (so now it's a tax writeoff :)). He said he and his wife both have one. It was the first one I've seen in person, save for the one I played with at the Apple store next week.

Funny that I stumbled across this thread as I just saw my first iPhone "in the wild" today. I was waiting with a group of people earlier today and a mother pushing a stroller had an iPhone in her hand. This is actually the first time I've seen one in person and I expected it to be much bigger based on what I've heard. It actually looks pretty compact for all that it does.

Haven't seen one outside of apple stores the whole time I have had one. Only time was at the two apple stores near me and that was with people in the store. Odd. Thinking I am the only one in Seattle with one........

3: One guy that I work with. A guy on the DC metro and a guy on the street in Seattle.

A few friends/associates who saw mine and had to get one - but that doesn't really count as "in the wild", does it?

Today, a young mother at the Farmer's Market.
Last week, a guy walking through a cemetary. Well, it's actually a park but the headstones are still there from when it was a cemetary.
A passenger in a car parked on the street.

Not bad for a small town (smallish town).

No one has seen mine "in the wild" though. That makes me wonder just how many people around me might have them.
