Help with Cleaning out iPhone (iOS9)

Looking on iTunes, my wife's iPhone 6 is just about full of... stuff. I'm trying to determine what this stuff is. I've got a total capacity of 16 GB. There is 1.5 GB of Documents and Data and there is 2.77 GB of "other". Any clues on what and how this stuff can be identified for removal? Thanks!
