I think it's about time listend and spoke up about this cock up and explained what that dreaded Wednesday night email explained,what's the point of offering people the chance to preorder when you don't get what you want as they had advertised on LAUCH DAY!!!!

I will be calling apple later, and it is not out for delivery by then, i will feel very sorry for the rep taking my call. I want Apple to know how pissed i am
No point I tried that all the kept saying was this is a new product line for us keep checking your order status online and they were very clear at pointing out that the delivery times stated at time of ordering were April 24 to May 8 if you don't receive it by then,the we can look into it

Apple needs to promote the Watch a lot more, show us more pics of supermodels and celebs using it, send us more material about it, show us all the cool apps we can't use yet, send us emails to let us know they are not shipping our watches, and rub it in our faces as much as possible that we don't have one before they will send them.
TC: Let's create a product that nobody wants. Promote the hell out of it months before we release it. Do one of the biggest pre-launch marketing campaigns in history. Get it on TV, in fashion magazines. Give it out to celebs and journalists who don't even care about our products. Create so much buzz that people eventually do want it, really badly. Put it in stores so people can try it on and see how cool it is, but not allow them to buy it. Then pre-sell it and only have enough inventory so that the most diehard fans who stayed up all night could order it, AND then let's not even ship it to them. Oh, and all those developers who are working really hard on apps to help launch our new product, let's give a random number of them the opportunity to enter to WIN a chance to BUY the least popular model at full price, and still ship it to them a week late. Our employees can get a 50% discount, but won't have theirs until June when we're onto our announcing our next big product.
Yhea I don't care about their excuses. I ordered at 12:03 and had a delivery window for launch day. I should have it today- no excuses why its not gonna be here.

Calling the rep will not help you. I use to work for Apple and believe me that employee will not know anything except to read from the standard script. You are better of writing an email, or giving lousy feedback on the survey you may have received a bad survey apple call customers to ask why?

I am sorry to hear of your disapontment concerning the delivery time of your Apple Watch in Apple online store order
I am sorry, but I am unable to inform you of anything more than the dates for delivery of 24/4/15-8/5/15 as regards to delivery time frame.
Apple has been overwhelmed with the response to the Apple watch, the demand for the item is extremely high, an unfortunate by product of this is that the delivery time frames are longer than usual in stock products.
Please understand that this is a completely new product and direction for Apple with this incredible item, this is why the product is so widely desired, but it will most definately be worth the wait.
I thank you for your patience and understanding on this issue.

It sucks but I am going to enjoy the anticipation ride with my fallen comrades until I get this thing in my hands.
It has to be soon. I got the same model, confirmation email 1 minute before you. Thought I was not getting it today either, but it all came together yesterday and will be here this morning. I'd say you should expect it Monday; Tuesday latest. Mine was built in Week 16 (April). They seem built-to-order and didn't have a huge warehouse of stock.

This is the standard script I was talking about. I will be writing an email to Tim and Angela expressing my disappointment. I suggest all in this thread do the same. Just try to express how disappointed you are, and maybe someone from executive relations will write back and sometimes call. I know it is a long shot, but they need to know that it is not fair that those that ordered after us will receive their watch today and we are in limbo till the 8th. If they were just a bit more transparent with customers, just maybe we would be ok with the whole launch mess. I think the EOD should have read.
Dear Mr. so and so, We are terribly sorry but we will not be able to fulfill your apple watch order and therefor it will not be delivered on April 24th. We have been under constraints with manufacturing the stainless steel model. We'll will do our best to get you your watch ASAP but at the very least no later then May 8th. Again we are terribly sorry. Thank you for being a loyal Apple customer. Something like this, instead of telling me what I already know and to go watch videos. Also, filling out the surveys and giving less then 7 in the questions and a comment they will ask you if they may contact to talk about it.
I do not do social media so this is my only suggestion to reach out to Apple to express disopointment.

38 mm SS BSB seems to have been ready to go since mine is supposed to be arriving today.
I'm in this thread for my husband and for me because even though mine is coming today I can't enjoy it much with him moping and our anxiety about his sister's birthday present possibility being late.

42 mm SS Classic Band with 4/24-5/8 delivery window. 3:29 EST --complete limbo. No charges. Email of Death received. Processing.
38 mm Pink Sport 3:06 EST. 4/24-5/8. Same Processing hell. If my Sister in-law had indicated a preference for blue or green the damned thing would be arriving today, too. Of course she would have to like a color that apparently doesn't exist.

Well, that explains the Apple Watch. But does not explain why my husband can't get a reasonably clear delivery date (just a vague 4-6 week window) for a LAPTOP that is well past its launch date, either.
Their new direction is apparently in producing and marketing vaporware. Also the fellow spelled "definitely" wrong. I presume "disapontment" was a horrendous typo. No autocorrect for him. Or maybe like me, he is such a bad typist he fried his autocorrect.
