I think that might be made up, it works great
No problems with Music settings here either.

Not saying anyone is lying but it might be a rare bug due to corrupted settings somewhere. Either way make sure your Analytics is turned on so Apple gets your crash logs and make it crash a few times if it was off. They'll fix it soon enough.

I’m still on a iPhone SE (2016) here.

Probably will upgrade to iOS 15; though just like iOS 14, (and iOS 13) there’s a slim chance more than 2 person(s) in Apple iOS QA have given this a quick sanity/smoke test.

I’m not complaining. I see little to complain about since I am fully aware we “Jobs era” designed device owners are running on borrowed time. I bet this device loses support before my iPad Air 2 though.
Yeah I'm surprised we even got iOS 14. Shocked for 15! I bet we're done now, tho. "End of line".

I don't want a multi-camera bump i-thing. Ick. Horrible design from the design pride parade. Just give me one good flat lens. Period. Take the 5S shell and swap lenses. That's all I want. Leave everything else (well, SoC has to go with it). Plenty of room inside, obviously! Just leave it alone. "No touching! Down boy! Sit! Good boy. Here's your web cookie."

The more pressing question is — how long are they going to let iOS 14 be installed on a newly acquired older device? Like a refurbished iPhone for example. A lot of us don't want to get near any new version of iOS until the Spring.
This is an interesting question that we don't know the answer to because they're doing something different this year.
They have announced that they will be supporting and updating iOS 14 alongside iOS 15. Does this mean fresh installations of iOS 14 will continue to be available, or only updates for those that already have it? We'll have to wait and see.

Hello, question, do you need to do fresh iOS install for iOS 15, or is it ok to "just" update to 15? Thanks.

Fresh installs never make a difference it’s all placebo just update like apple wants you to
I've noticed that after doing a fresh install the size of "Other" under iPhone Storage is 1GB-2GB smaller. So if you're low on space or you just want to reclaim some of it, do a fresh install.

If I decide to install iOS 15 on my 1st gen iPhone SE (I use it as an iPod when I'm out running), I'll be doing a fresh install as it's using 14.7GB out of 16GB right now and 4.47GB is being used for "Other"

only fool updates on the first day

Also what's up with the choice of staying on iOS 14 and still getting security updates? Haven't seen any new info on that.

The main thing I'm hoping for is that iOS 15 will fix reception issues... 😅
Ok this might be a stupid question, but whith the same anrenna array, and rge same badebsnd, and i assume the same carier, how is the receptioin supposed to change only with a sw update, is ios 15 supposed to ubluck some new freqyencues rhatt us roumered to have better coverage?

I remember that, there were some serious carrier issues. I had to update network settings for AT&T and they had screwed up some of there network for a protocol change
Ok soma crappy US carrier screwed up their profile, now I know why it wasn't that widly reported over here. You can hardly blame an IOS update for a carriers incompetence.
