i want to believe that that is a DVI port, mini-HDMI port, HDMI port or DisplayPort... but in all likelyhood,if i am just saying something wrong please correct me but i am wondering if that port covered by tape could be an HDMI out???

Not at all. They've been around in laptops for years and it looks beautiful.

Or you can pay the same price and get a wireless mouse worth using from logitech or microsoft (seriously, are there still people buying those POS mighty mouse?)
No, it has the little display picture next to it (rectangle with bars on the side), it definitely is some kind of display port.

Let me put these "non acceptables" in perspective: I am a left-handed mouse user. Apple notebooks have almost all their ports on the left side. So basically anything from Apple is "non acceptable" for me.
could this mysterious covered thing...be a wifi switch? the little cirlce next to it being an indicator?

But seriously, lefties make up 8-12% of the population, so Apple has to play to the majority. Of course, the irony is that there's a higher proportion of lefties in the creative fields, which is where Apple has a higher market share.
Exactly. It would be really, really nice if now we were sure that they will update MBA or even better present a new one.. But we know nothing about MBA.
