This would require Flash as well, there is already an app called Truveo for streaming the same content as hulu that doesn't use flash.
A Hulu app not the hulu site. I know hulu.com would require flash but a Hulu app may not.

But it seems to me that apple has done a pretty good job. If you consider the fact that they have only been in the cell phone industry for months,
they've made a HUGE impact on raising the standards for user friendly smart phones. Sure, they didn't get all the phone stuff right the first time; but they were basically just adding a phone to an iPod touch at the time (which was huge in itself for the mobile entertainment biz).
Correct.I'm 90% sure i saw a screeny of searching inside the ipod app.
...Cause some people have children that like to pick up their technology and play with it
Yeah. Their car accidents cause me an extra 15 minutes to get to work every freaking morning.
People who insist on talking on the phone while driving piss me off.
I was really hoping that they would allow you to disable the "unlock" screen. That is just such a stupid and useless screen that makes using it really frustrating at times, the home button is PLENTY protection from accidents. Seriously, does Apple use their own products? How can anyone not hate that screen after 1 day? Maybe they will support it but it wasnt a feature worth mentioning...

I believe it is actually an emulator on your desktop and doesnt actually work on your phone. But I could be wrong...
He simply wants an option to disable it.
DS, I organize my contacts by groups, mass delete emails, and can open MS Office documents in a variety of applications using my iPhone. While, AFAIK, "editing" an MS document is only currently available through Google on the iPhone (requiring wireless connectivity), I'm highly skeptical of whether anyone would truly NEED to edit a complex Word of Excel document using a phone. There's an app for almost everything. I'm sure Office Mobile solutions are well on their way.

If its using hulus service, and hulu uses flash, then yes, yes it would require flash.
Unless of course hulu does a massive overhall and starts using non propietary standards like h.264.
Funny that everyone always seems to have a problem with propietary things, unless its that POS flash.
And I think the Pre is going to be big, if released on non-Sprint networks. The physical keyboard alone is going to drive a lot of people to it. Search looks perfect and is, quite frankly, something Apple should be ashamed of not getting right (Spotlight alone is reason enough for me to never want to use another computer). And notifications on the Pre look far superior to the iPhone's pop-ups.
Like the BBC did with their iPlayer service in the UK

I might pay the 10 bucks if spotlight works with music, its something I always wanted and it puzzles me that they havent implemented such a simple feature yet. Otherwise its a pretty boring update, Palm is probably feeling pretty confident right now.
That depends on your previous phone.
Not trying to be a smart @$$, but Treo and WiMo users lost a LOT of functionality with the 2G and 3G iPhone. Some lost functionality and gained an expensive bill.
Even now, Treo and WiMo users still can't go to the iPhone and open and edit and save MS Office documents and even organize their contacts by groups or mass delete emails, etc.
Just saying.![]()
Can anyone please tell which are the 15 new countries to the App Store?
Well, 26 months.![]()
Uh, wasn't it the other way around? I.e., the iPod touch was derived from the iPhone?
As did youtube when they started to have their catalogue in h.264 for the youtube app.
We NEED OPEN STANDARDS when it comes to media on the web people!
I dont give a damn if flash is free, its buggy, and its in the control of one company.
