Ridiculous! Apple should implement everything they possibly can and leave it up to the users to complain how badly it works in any given circumstance. This goes for everything. Users historically do not mind buggy, seriously disfunctional cellular operating systems. For Apple to put its own pride and greed in front of the arbitrary desires of its users is criminal at worst and condescending at best. Slap it together and let users worry about hasty security oversights and glaring performance compromises. Seriously. Who do they think they are.Wrong! They are only allowing users to send MMS over 3G, I'm guessing because of large amounts of info being sent. i.e. Voice notes, locations, etc. 1st gen is Edge, therefore not allowing you to use this new AMAZING feature.
Exactly right. Apple has NO LEGITIMATE reason to hold back all the features they developed. I'm sure most of the features in 3.0 have been in the iPhone OS since its launch, and Apple just has them commented out. Just a bunch of ego maniacal jerks.Jesus people. MMS has been on phones with GPRS almost since camera's were first put into mobile phones. Stop believing the Apple BS.
Europe and Asia have had it, used it, got bored of it ages ago.
Stop thinking America only and EDGE. Think rest of the world and GPRS.
