This describes it well. I have set phrases that I’ll say to Siri that will be more successful than if I say to Alexa. But if I get the phrase wrong Siri hasn’t got a clue.I think Siri understands words the best. However I think Siri knows words the least, meaning you have to be super specific with the way you say something, making it the worst user experience.
Wait... I thought the George St. store was closed for reno??If you're near the city, the George Street store has stock.
You bad. Apple likes it.But like the Apple Pencil, I want one despite it not being right for me.
I certainly can NOT see it now. Can't wait for the word to spread on this one...😬Nobody else sees an illustration of group sex in that logo? From right to left, it looks like.... I don't think I can say more than that on this site. But it jumped out at me.
Reminicent of marketing back in the 70s and 80s. There were several brands using the word "sex" hidden in photos, and designs that could be seen a certain way.
Totally agree. I would have purchased the original HomePod on launch day. Frustrating that Apple is so us-centric.And yet I still haven’t heard a word as to why the HomePod isn’t available in Italy as well as other so called first world countries.
Rollout has been slow. Available in Germany, but not in the Netherlands, because Apple still hasn't implemented Dutch language support. Has been for over two years. Bought a HomePod via grey import. I will need to buy HomePod mini also in Germany or grey import. Come on Apple. Me sad. :-(And yet I still haven’t heard a word as to why the HomePod isn’t available in Italy as well as other so called first world countries.
In your experience, would you say it is the best speaker in its size? I once had Bose MusicMonitors. Also very small in size. It also was full range + dual force cancelling passive radiators. I found those impressive sounding for their size, although lacking in clarity and detail. But that thing also cost $299. I'm thinking Apple HomePod mini is better than those Bose speakers at a lower price for a stereo pair, so might be nice to have on my computer desktop. I think Apple is on a roll with these mini speakers and M1 Macs.I bought two white minis today. Impressed with the sound quality for such a small speaker.

Same - though I didn’t bother with next day delivery.Im U.K. based and as with the iPhone 12 Pro, I waited for it to go live on John Lewis. Just ordered a space grey HomePod mini and it’s due for delivery tomorrow. With the added bonus of the John Lewis extended 2 year warranty - I don’t think I’ll buy from anywhere else moving forward.
So for anyone in the U.K. who doesn’t fancy waiting till January - John Lewis currently have them in stock for next day delivery.
Mmm. HomePod doesn't lag with me with video, because the video should be delayed on Apple devices to match audio delay. Maybe there is difference between browsers or certain streaming services. Generally on iOS and iPadOS it should be synchronized.Hm. I kinda don't like it to be honest. Sound is meh. Siri useless (that was expected). And there's significant lag when trying to watch a movie lipsynched. I'll have to keep it (Apple doesn't allow returns here) but wouldn't recommend it to others.
Yes and no. The battery inside would be rather small. And I have had speakers with batteries that couldn't be replaced. You can just throw those out after two years of use. I'm back at wired speakers without batteries. Portable speakers be damned. In the home, having multiple HomePod mini will be better than having one battery speaker. And I really didn't use battery speakers much outside the home, it was more about convenience of placement inside the home.A missed opportunity would have been a battery built-in with Magsafe charging. I would easily pay $149 per unit.
You could be right, but what is your source?....These things are selling like hotcakes!!!!
At $99, it's like Apple being Santa. Haha! ;-) But seriously, has there ever been more Apple product that you can get at $99? I remember when the iPod shuffle was $99 for the 512MB version and $149 for the 1 GB version. You could be right, but what is your source?
Apple could of made 100 or 100 million units we have no idea how sales are based on ship dates or sold out status.
*I’m not claiming good or bad sales just pointing out in general companies can create ‘appearance’ of demand based on supply. 📈
