DEFINITELY. This is an example of when flat design fails miserably. Fortunately, the product inside is very appealing! That distorted ‘mini’ on the box just looks so out of place
I think it communicates very well to the target audience. If mini were just in a regular typeface, then people would more easily dismiss it. Now with the distortion it says that it might be called mini, but it is anything but mini (on the inside). It will shatter your expectations. Haha! Smart communication. Yes it looks weird. But I think it is smart. The distorted Mini logo looks awesome. I swear you guys complain about anything. 😂
Yup. It's so not Apple. That distorted ‘mini’ on the box just looks so out of place
I don’t understand what Apple’s doing here. HomePod isn’t available in Belgium either, even though 40% of the population speaks French, nor in Luxembourg, where everyone speaks French or German.Rollout has been slow. Available in Germany, but not in the Netherlands, because Apple still hasn't implemented Dutch language support. Has been for over two years. Bought a HomePod via grey import. I will need to buy HomePod mini also in Germany or grey import. Come on Apple. Me sad. :-(
I strongly suggest you don't upgrade to 14.2 as Handoff seems to be broken or certainly not as responsive as it finally became under 14.1.Interestingly, the HomePod mini is running software version 14.1 and there's a 14.2 update already available.
Seems to be working fine here. I was surprised that I could transfer music over by moving my iPhone 8 Plus near the HomePod mini. I thought only newer iPhones supported this feature.I strongly suggest you don't upgrade to 14.2 as Handoff seems to be broken or certainly not as responsive as it finally became under 14.1.
Bought three!!! it’s about time Apple

We have the Google Nest mini in the master bedroom and it sounds WAY better than that. But then the HomePod mini is about twice the height so more room for bass. How do these compare sound and response wise to any of the Amazon Echo's or Google Home's?
Yeah, can a small single driver compete against Echo dot gen 4 and Nest Audio with multiple drivers inside? Clearly, Apple wants to compete on size first. Then if Apple can come close to bigger multi driver speakers in sound enjoyment while using only one driver + passive radiators, Apple will see it as an advantage, because it will cost Apple less to make (although R&D might be substantial), and Apple can make being smaller a selling point. How do these compare sound and response wise to any of the Amazon Echo's or Google Home's?
Yeah, I think the comparison will be about the same price range. And even then, it's the size that makes it competitive and it doesn't have to be the best sounding for the price. If it comes close, people will say WOW!We have the Google Nest mini in the master bedroom and it sounds WAY better than that. But then the HomePod mini is about twice the height so more room for bass.
