Interesting that O2 have put nothing on their website about it. The other networks in the UK seem to be so far behind EE.

Yeah think it's due to the partnership EE have with apple...

I'm wondering if adding the HomePod to my EE line how much it would be monthly.

For previous Apple launches, Apple have always specified a time on their website at which the preording will become available? Am I right to assume that it will be the same time for this product launch (so 8am for the U.K.)?

It's certainly not true that Apple has always specified a time. In fact, I'd guess it's less than half of releases they actually specify a time. From there, it can be fairly random anywhere from midnight Cupertino time to some morning hour where stores are about to open.

So for future reference, never make the assumption they will specify a time or even stick to a pattern.

Guess it’s not a midnight launch, I’m going to bed - hopefully they don’t sell out at whatever arbitrary time Apple decides to sell them at.

It looks like I sacrificed animals, firstborn, and prayed to pagan gods for nothing. Going back go to bed since I have work in the morning,

For the next launch I'll write a Web page scraper that wakes me up when the product goes on sale. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Makes me think Apple might go with 13:00GMT (00:00 27/1 Australia). I think resellers aren't supposed to (or are scared of) taking orders before Apple!

yes the preorders will start at 13:00GMT UK

I am working from home today so keeping a close eye on this. This is obviously a soft launch so no fanfare. I think you are right and this will be a 1pm launch in the UK and a more reasonable time of the day for our friends in the U.S

You would think Apple could at least give its supporters a time slot to buy, but no!
