I would be will to bet that Apple will be offering a cheaper Pod soon just like Amazon's Dot. Might be 6 months but they will, not everyone is willing to pay $350 for a device like this. This could not replace my Sonos system!

I have a SONOS system as well, but it doesn't do all the things that SIRI will do to interface with my HomeKit devices like door locks, Philips Hue lights, and the practical tasks like Notes, Reminders, Calendars that can be handled verbally. I will probably only use the HomePod in the kitchen for now, where I don't have a Sonos speaker.

Terribly planned release, but ordered one anyway to give it a shot.

In hindsight, it's actually been identical to the iMac Pro (Dec 14, 2017).

Only difference was that no one (publicly) seemed to know the time was the same, but I recall there was some doubt for the iMac Pro as well.

EE have said pre order goes up at 1.30pm in the UK..that’s when ordering through them but guessing it might be the same with Apple
