Like I said in another thread, it's cool that now in the offseason, curiosity for the competition dominates discussions, so it's kinda OK.
We just don't appreciate it when people ignore the glaring dominance Apple has and act like its just another competitor. It's like a paradigm shift belittling the respect Apple deserves and is an attitude we don't see eye to eye with on Android users.
I disagree that there is a glaring dominance, or maybe I just don't quit understand where you are coming from. Does Apple get the championship belt for having made the most profit? For having the most tablet market share? Because as it stands, those are the only two measurable statistics where Apple can be viewed as dominating. Everywhere else, the competitor is either glaringly ahead, or just about tied. This is a free market. Apple IS just another competitor and I would venture to say that many of the features of current a future idevices is due directly to their competition. It's how that is supposed to work.
To us iOS is still way ahead of the competition in the details (important ones too) and we don like it when you guys phrase your sentences and paragraphs in passive aggressive ways implying that that is not true.
Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, but the mud slinging has come from both sides of the fence. It has not only been "the Android side". In fact, some of it has been from you. So it's not that there is an issue with devoted Apple fans. It's that there is an issue with people calling those trying to have a discussion about an opposing product names. And yes, that happens in every single thread I have seen discussing iOS versus a competing OS.
Respect that the opinion here is biased as such and stop attacking us for beig apple lovers on our own turf. I respect that you have a more neutral and non-loyal stance but respect the fact we don't see it that way.
This isn't a gang, or at least I hope it isn't. This is just a little piece of the internet that the mods have deemed was ok for discussion of OS's in direct competition with iOS. So let's stop this "turf" business. As I said, I frequent Android forums (and to a MUCH more limited extent Windows forums) and there are iOS discussions there too. And they are welcomed. There is no turf.
And stop making fun of me too.
Your sensationalistic views and choice of vocabulary makes you an easy target. Probably not what you want to hear, but it's honest.
