While I applaud your love for Watch and want to get it ASAP, there has never been a guarantee that your delivery date is 24th. You got quoted for 2 weeks. Apple never misled you, your own expectation did. Blame that to yourself. :D Now chill out, go get some drink, there is a whole lot of world out there.

I am also super pissed that I am getting my watch 4/24-5/8, when I was in fact told I would be receiving it 4/24-5/8. I think we all see the problem with this. Rage.

So with the way the thread starter feels I assume they are going to change their Mac Rumor name and avatar?

I ordered 3 min before you did and was told delivery will be May 12th - 25th. I will be a little mad if I don't get it by May 25th.

If others get the watch before me good for them, makes me happy for them NOT mad. I'm loyal too just like many others and yourself too.

If you are so mad it means you really want it like most of us here. Chill out and wait for it :)

OP,

You have no grounds to stand upon and your anger is misdirected. Apple has told you the delivery window from the moment you placed your order and they have not broken that promise to you in any way. You should be angry at yourself for setting unrealistic expectations and letting yourself feel the way you do. I hope you snap out of this and start to feel better.

Cheers,
Bryan

Dear Bryan Bowler,

Thanks for that paragraph, but it doesn't make me feel any better.

Cheers,
OP

That's great, but you missed the question.

Here it is again;

Where are you selling it and how much do you hope to sell it for?

I'll list it on eBay and Craigslist. If you're really interested I'm warning you it's not gonna be at retail price.

Sorry if I anger anyone...

Penalized? Sorry, little to extreme there. Now when we get the watch, and there are major flaws causing us to send them back and then wait longer, yeah, I can see that.

Thanks tickles, such words of wisdom.

I'm angered beyond means.

You, good sir (or ma'am, I'm not one for assumptions) would benefit from professional therapy.

Today is the 23rd. You have a further 16 days before your precious watch is late.

Get a grip. Get a hobby. Do something because this isn't healthy.

I propose to penalize them we take a can of black spray paint down to Cupertino, find the sign that says "One Infinite Loop", paint over the first "In" so that it says "One Finite Loop", that'll show those worthless pieces of trash.

It's not as simple as ordering first. A lot of factors take in consideration because of numerous Watch configs...availability of bands associated with your order, your geographical location, etc. Relax, you'll get it eventually, maybe much sooner than what you expect

Exactly this, the few people acting petulant are missing this point. The people getting their watch before the OP have picked a different configuration. Would the OP prefer to get the wrong watch instead, just to get it early?

Why? The delivery window is 24/4-8/5, you have no grounds to complain unless you don't have it by 9/5. Stop acting like a child throwing his toys out the pram.

Any retail knows that customer comes first in first out... If that's the case then don't sell it if you don't have it.

Or better yet we can try to rub sand paper on our Apple Watches.

At this point in time... there's not much you can do.

To effect change will take time. Don't go over the top but be very direct about what's wrong with Apple. Tim Cook is supposed to be a logistics guy and yet the decisions around the Apple Watch were poorly made not only from a logistics point but also at a CEO level. We now have a face to associate with retail. If things like "order online" continue to be answer for retail stores - hammer that point. If you can describe how retail used to be better or what's wrong with it in one short sentence - hammer that.

If you press the right points (that only fanatics can deny) people will start to get the message. Don't be over dramatic, keep the message consistent, don't mix messages (there's plenty of time to hit each issue individually) and always up vote the posts that support you position on front page articles.

Many early adopters will settle for anything as long as they get it first. Im sorry but I wont settle for a watch like I would a phone color. People used to hate the spacey gray color during the 5s days.

When the 5s gold was released and was on a massive back order, I remember seeing people changing their minds and settling for space gray just to get the 5s. I didn't settle because settling is for the weak.

Penalise them for what? They said 24/4-8/5. If you don't get it by the 8th fair enough but in my eyes until then they haven't done anything wrong.

Why not just buy a watch you can live with for a few weeks and then give it to a friend when the watch you really wanted arrives?

That's what I did. 42 Sport White -> 42 SS LB

Everybody wins.
