Penalise them for what? They said 24/4-8/5. If you don't get it by the 8th fair enough but in my eyes until then they haven't done anything wrong.

That 4/24-5/8 means a RANGE. What does a range mean? It means people who order first should get theirs first within that range.

Why not just buy a watch you can live with for a few weeks and then give it to a friend when the watch you really wanted arrives?

That's what I did. 42 Sport White -> 42 SS LB

Everybody wins.

No not doing that with something I wear. It has to fit my personality. I have standards.

And they did. Apple ran out of the color you wanted before they got to you. Pull it together man.

Thanks dude... Just pissed off right now. Was hoping I'll get that processing items update and I got that we're working in your order crap.

Any retail knows that customer comes first in first out... If that's the case then don't sell it if you don't have it.

Um.... why not sell it? All places continue selling past initial stock, with later date ranges.

When you ordered, you were given a period of time when you will receive your watch, you agreed to it on purchase. Lots of companies give a date range for stuff, only giving a precise delivery date when it's ready to go out. This is nothing new.

Yes, and people that ordered theirs first, of the same band and model, will get theirs first, with the rest to follow. It's first in, first out, but within the model & band you ordered. It's like if you ordered an iPhone 6 at 00:01 and someone else ordered an iPhone 6+ at 00:20, you're angry that the 6+ person might get theirs before you get yours.....

I am the same way right up until I get my Apple fix and then Im back to my normal self.

I agreed to it because I deserve that 4/24 date. i would've been okay if everyone else gets their order delayed, but why give "earlier" shipments to people who could care less about order time?

again, apple screwed up with this band and model excuse. don't sell it if they don't have it.

When the 5s gold was released and was on a massive back order, I remember seeing people changing their minds and settling for space gray just to get the 5s. I didn't settle because settling is for the weak.

Ah, the irony of someone calling out other people for being weak in the very same thread he started where he whines like a spoiled child because he may not get his watch on the 24th, despite never being promised a guaranteed delivery of the 24th.

Go shoot some pool or see a movie or get laid. The watch will arrive within the delivery window you were promised. If it doesn't, then come back and post about how mad you are and we'll all be on your side. Promise.

Do you have My UPS? I didn't think anything was happening with mine, but logged in and found out it has a label and tracking number and says it will deliver Friday. Try going to UPS Nd do reference tracking and put your 10 digit phone number in. That shows if you have something coming. Don't give up, it will come.

Hmm...seems promising actually. My SS 42 black classic band is still processing and I got that unfortunate email earlier tonight, but I followed your steps and found this:

That looks like an Apple Watch to me.

Do we need another thread on this ? Can we have one thread for people to throw thier tantrums? Its not even the 24th yet.

what did you put in the reference? xxx-xxx-xxxx or xxxxxxxxxx?

I don't get it.. if you're really that upset, just cancel your order — you don't need to return it or sell it. Or you could simply wait for it and don't fret over it. It's just an expensive object that's nice to own, but hardly essential. Just relax and enjoy life.

Who are you to say you 'deserve' yours on 24/4?! Who are you to say that others care less about order time? Other people with later orders are getting a different model/band. It's the same as the 6/6+ scenario. They're different models.

Also, if you order something from Amazon and it says 'delivers in 2-3 weeks' do you complain when you don't get it on the first date of that range?!

As for 'don't sell it if they don't have it', what a ridiculous statement. Everywhere does this, with provisional dates. Hell some places sell with no dates for when stock will be available! I ordered something from Amazon last October, which was out of stock, it turned up last month. So why should Apple not do something that every other company does, simply to appease you?

Some people really need professional help....

He's obviously an attention seeker with issues. Think it's best if people leave him to it.

I am (was) on the same boat as you, but then I calmed down. Why get angry? I have waited this long whats a few more days.

The only thing that bothered me is that blakeh@apple.com (Sales Manager) guaranteed me that we were not getting bumped, but what caught me off guard and I am now just realizing it is that he told me that some customers who ordered before me (00:04:30 Confirmation) got a SINGLE 4/24 shipping date so its like I was being penalized for not ordering within the 30 seconds or 1 minute the site was live. I asked a few times just to make sure he was not getting confused apparently from the information he provided 4/24-5/08 was not the first group it was actually the second which still does not makes sense. That is why I provided his email just in case you want to ask that question yourself.

Other than that I am not going to sit tight and wait, also since I saw that people were getting bumped by buying white sports band SS I placed an order for one a few minutes ago hoping for a miracle that one will sneak through being that apple will allow customers to exchange bands only instead of the whole watch at launch and for the future days to come. I mean which ever Watch ships out first I'll cancel the order or just sell it.

apple really needs to grip on reality with these product launches... they aren't as polished as they used to be when it comes to customer service... more like customer disservice.

I'm angered beyond means. I've waited long enough for this watch and even stayed late at night to order it at crack of 3am. Got my email confirmation at 3:04am and I thought I was part of the first batch. Now I get that ******** email we're working on your order. It better not be a ******** move not getting me my watch on Friday because I'll be pissed. Why would the people who ordered it late get "bumped" earlier than expected while people like us who stayed late get delayed? What a slap in the face. I'm contemplating returning this thing for pure anger at this point.

How do we penalise Apple for this? Cancel your order. Don't give them your money if you're that serious about it.

Have you been living under a rock this whole time? The Apple Watch got NOTHING but bad press. Everyone said it was too expensive, useless, no one would buy it, no one would need it. The reviews were lukewarm... and BAM massive hit.

A few people complaining about not getting their orders on launch day will do absolutely nothing to stop that.

How many did it sell in relation to iPhone users?

Probably not as massive a hit as you think. Just saying.
