You bought a iBook G3! Using money? I'm assuming you done that 3 years ago, right?

And to everyone who said that people dont sell stuff in their schools because stuff gets confiscated (too lazy to quote) then the smae in my school but people obviously dont care so much, and if its not open it wont get taken genrally. There is a boy in my school who is like a shop, who brings 10 Fantas, Vimtos, Galaxys, Snickers etc. every day!
Nah. Before they were allowed only for like school clubs and things like that, but now they just literally take any box they see O_O NOBODY is selling anymore (before like 1 in 5 people sold at my school lol) so yeah it is pretty obvious if you are the only person selling now. :(

I'm sure there are a wide range of minors on here, a lot of them with all sorts of gadgets and Mac stuff. But how do you afford all of that? I'll start...

I'm 15. I'm a Wii reseller and I'm beginning to sell US iTunes gift cards overseas, what about you?

What the hell is a Wii "reseller"?

I hope you don't buy them and then resell them for more money to people who can't find one in the stores. If you do ..... shame on you!!! and get a real job you lazy ba@$!rd!!

Cheers.
:apple::)

Seems like a good job to me

He's willing to sacrifice his time to get a commodity that people won't sacrifice as much time to get. Then, he sells them for whatever price above MSRP people are willing to pay for the time they saved.

That's an interesting way of justifying ripping people off .. lol

Im 14 and I get a £60 pocket money every month.. so like $120, I am currently looking for a job o.0 my cousin owns a graphics design company so I might ask him xD

how do you do this as a kid? to get either a scottrade or an etrad account you ned to be 18 with an account of some sort, weather be checking, credit or even debit.

Market making is exclusive to financial institutions/brokerages and trading firms. It's not for casual traders. Also, if you're under 18, you need a custodial account.

I recommend Wall Street Journal's "Guide to Understanding Money and Investing" for a simple intro to finance, and investing. It's a good "ramp".

You have an IM.

P.S. Right now is generally not a great time for beginners to start investing.
Take care.

I work at a family farm for $12/hour, I don't really work too much except for the summer, where I work all the time.

This was an interesting thread to read!

Everyone seems rather young, so I'll tell you what I did when I was around that age range.

I just turned 19 and I'm in my first year of university. I got my first job in grade 9 (I was like, what, 14? 15?) as a market researcher for companies. It wasn't as important as it may sound, though.

Throughout high school I took up random jobs (Centreville and CNE) during breaks/slow months/etc. Was a ride operator, ticket seller, lemonade maker, french fryer and a bunch of other random things. I was always a full time student so I only worked part time or like a madman for short periods of time. Last year I worked at the EX for two weeks, 246 hours :p

Didn't buy much so I saved most of my money. Thennnn all my savings went to tuition and textbooks. Hurrah. Would've loved to have spent some of that money on gadgets though :p

I create promotional videos and help local companies get their new media strategy down, which mainly consists of setting up podcasts for them. I'll also start a website for them.

In my other time, I work the concession stand at our local little leauge, work as a receptionist at my dad's office and any odd jobs I can find - which includes helping people with their computers.

I'm 14.

Oh, and I invest in the stock market :)

Cool! :)

Just to give you lot a update, Iam learning Objective-C so I can make apps for the App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch to get some ca$h!

I'm 20 now, and I work full time for an Apple reseller since it's summer.

When I'm in school I work 20-25 hours a week for them.

When I was in high school I worked as a hostess at a restaurant for about $7.50 an hour. From there I went to work in corporate quality at various companies, including one that makes control circuitry for fighter jets, one that manufactures construction equipment, and a fortune 500 pharma company.

I'll probably stay with this apple reseller for awhile, if I can stand it, before going back to the pharma industry.

ETA: my salaries ranged from $10-$15 an hour at these jobs, totaling about $24k a year, which is pocket change relative to my student debt.

I work at a home improvement store. I clean up, move around stuff and do most of their dirty work for 8€ an hour. Not my dream job, but I'm not complaining.

This is not exactly making money but for work experience I am working with the IT technitions in my school :)
