How is your naked iphone 5 holding up?

For the screen or the back? In my years of carrying an iPhone, I've never had a problem with screen scratching (and that's including the old glass, much less the new Gorilla Glass 2). If you're putting it on the back...IMO, that messes up the aesthetics more than a scratch would.
Black 64GB...delivered on launch day...flawless out of the box. Still flawless. I have the Photive bumper on it, and carry it in a horizontal pouch case. Still waiting for the Powersupport Crystal Film for iPhone 5 to come out.
im 50/50 In my otter box when I'm at work on construction sites or in the shop. comes out of the otter box and goes naked when I'm out and about after work or weekends and in my car. still flawless.

Arriving late to the forum today. Surprised to see myself under discussion! LOL! No wife -- OR husband -- in this household. I've been a widow for some years now. Not to worry, though, it's not the first time someone has been confused by the moniker "Clix Pix," especially on sites where there is no tag underneath to indicate what gender the user might be. At least here, yep, the title of "Demi-Goddess" does offer a hint......
Have to say, despite initial problems with chips to my black, the replacement white is standing up well to a week of naked abuse.
It lives in my pocket with change and keys as did my almost perfect 4S.
Still looks like new.
So pleased I swapped it. Even the screen was noticeably brighter and whiter on the new one when we put the two phones side by side in the store.

I visited an Apple store today and decided to take a look on how their naked iPhones are holding up. After all they get the most abuse so it is a fair assessment to see how naked iPhones hold up in general. They were holding up pretty well, but the area around the dock connector. Both black and white are pictured for reference, and to me it seems that the white holds up the best.

You have to take into consideration people are just forcing them onto a dock and cannot even see the charger port, so they scrap it all over.
True, but my point was just to show what some wear and tear looks like on a naked iPhone over a long time.
Ahh. I already know I will need to cash in on AppleCare+ at some point. Like your picture showed, any damage makes the black look rough.
might be able to polish the sides out of the white phone. forget about it with the black.
just sucks i wish i could of gotten a black one but the one i received was already in bad shape and i did a few tests on it to see if it would look bad after a few months. easily picks up nicks on the camber. returned for a white one and no issues.
oddly enough I like the way the white phone looks in store, but over the weekend I saw someone at a wedding with the white and it made me that much happier I went black. My GF has a white one, but for some reason seeing a male with white just looked weird (no matter what anyone says, it is definitely more feminine). It could have been the fact he was in a dark suit and the white phone just looked really out of place against the color.
just an observation, and you have to be lying to yourself if you do not think white is the more feminine color. Not for females only, just more feminine.
