Popular threads will survive. There are too many stickies. Maybe the forums needs an option to sticky threads on a per user basis. Let us decide how many threads need to fill the top over every page of a subforum.

This is getting a little ridiculous.

I absolutely agree..

SS Milanese 38mm

No damage whatsoever, just clean it religiously from fingerprints XD I have dinged the sapphire crystal on a door because people in restaurants around lunch time are obnoxious but it did precisely nothing.

Got my Space Grey Apple Watch Sport in the mail on April 27th. No damage to the screen or body (I work at a restaurant so my arms and hands especially are prone to getting dirty and bumping into things). I havent damaged the watch or gotten it soaked or even remotely wet though. However, the wrist detect isn't working anymore. Stopped working out of the blue just yesterday morning (May 10th). I raise my wrist to check the time, but i have to tap the screen to turn it on now. I went into the settings both on the watch and on my phone to ensure wrist detect is activated. I also reset the watch by holding the button under the crown. I also unpaired and re-paired my watch to my phone, but all in vein. The wrist detect still wont work. I was in SF and talked to a guy who worked in repairs and he said something along the lines of "just wait for an update...." Im not really happy with having to tap my screen all the time just to check the time and see my incoming notifications, but we'll see how soon Apple addresses and fixes this really annoying bug.

I drive a dilapidated vehicle with sharp edges all over. I have no problems with my apple watch holding up.

I am a fountain pen enthusiast and one of the highest staining (as in a permanent stain) ink is one called Bay State Blue. It is famous.

Guess what? I have a white band on my new Apple Phone, and I got Bay State Blue on it! I had to take my BSB pen apart and didn't see the stain, it was on the far side of my band. I actually didn't see it for a couple of hours!

When I got home I grabbed a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and started to work on it. About 5 minutes later, my watchband was just as good as new. I don't know if it would have worked as well if it were another color but I am very pleased!

One change, the finish is not as matte as it was, it is now slightly shiny but only slightly. Better than emblazoned with a big blue streak.

FYI.

*Disclaimer This poll is only for people who has own and wore their Watches for 10 days or more. If you have not worn your watch for 10 days or more please hold off your vote till then! Of course you are welcome to post replies on this thread. This poll is to get a rough generalized view on how the Watch holds up on daily wear and tear.

So for those of you lucky enough to have that 10 day anniversary date with your Watch let me ask you a question?

How is your Watch holding up?

(Please format your answers, If answered "Yes" please note the severity.

Scratches on the screen?
No, but it smudge easily so I wipe it often. I want my screen spotless all the time.

Scratches on the case?
No, as shiny as the first day.

What model do you have?
SS White Sport Band

Damages to the band?
No, though it's easier to "slip" in the lock now compare to the first day. I guess the band is more bending now :D

What band do you have?
White sport

What is you typical day like?
As typical as normal person. I go to gym every morning for 1 hour, and I wear my watch from the time I wake up till bed time minus shower time.

Since 24th of April... :D

I really wanted to get a Sport Space Gray but am skeptical because of the speculation that they will scratch/scuff MUCH more noticeably than the Silver in the long run. Even though the poll doesn't have that many votes as of yet it still seems to reflect that notion a little.

I have a 42mm SS with BSB. I'm disappointed with the sapphire display. Walking up stairs at work, my watch face barely glanced the metal hand railing and left a permanent scratch on my screen. The impact against the railing was so subtle that I barely noticed it. I immediately looked at the screen to see if there was any damage and, boom, scratch on the lower part of the screen. Ugh.

Space Gray 38mm Sport

4 little nicks on the screen after 12 days of use. Have no idea how it happened, woke up and noticed them, right away. Been bugging me all day #bummer

You could consider using a screen protection ? It seems like they are thin so you wouldn't really see it.. But ya frustrating !

Too many questions.

I just returned mine. I can't justify a $400 watch with a screen that will scratch. 13 days in, already a scratch. Body is fine. Sport. I just can't imagine how many scratches 6 months from now. Maybe I am wrong and this is just rare. But I don't think apple should ever have used Ion-X glass. Maybe it's because the sapphire maker couldn't deliver their promise.

Had the 42mm stainless steel since release day. The screen is of course flawless, while there are a few cosmetic scratches on the case, but they're not really that noticeable. I'll get them buffed out at some point, it's not really a problem for me yet.

SS 38mm. No scratches on the screen but some minor scratches on the case and a few deeper ones where I banged the thing on a wall. I will try to polish them off at some point.

SG Model, I have a scratch at the top where the screen meets the body (scratch on screen and body).

In case you were wondering, the ion X glass meets its match with the rough underside of granite countertops :)

Watch has been through a lot of wear and tear the last couple days, still no wear.

I work as an installer for DirecTV which is a pretty physical job at times and I can scrape my wrist on anything all the time. I haven't yet damaged my casing yet. My Milanese loop has some scratches on the magnetic tab, but that's entirely expected.

I'm more than pleased with my purchase :)

SS 42mm BSB - banged it on a shelf at Whole Foods, on a door handle at home, and clipped it with the seat belt at least three times. Not a scratch on the body or face whatsoever yet, no band damage at all.

I work in IT Security and work from home the majority of the time, so my environment is low risk (but very useful in utilizing the Apple Watch!). Get up about 6:30, slip on the watch, and go the rest of the day with occasional trips out or walks, then take it off around 11:00 PM at night, usually with between 30-40% battery life left on an average day. Lowest ever was when I was playing with it a lot and got down to like 23% the day after receiving it.

Day 12 for the watch.

Digital crown sticky and hard to turn

I've had the watch for exactly 3 weeks, and yesterday the digital crown got really sticky and hard to turn. I have babied this thing and not done anything out of the ordinary with it. Has anyone else had this problem. Should I return it? Total nightmare for something so expensive.
