I've had the watch for exactly 3 weeks, and yesterday the digital crown got really sticky and hard to turn. I have babied this thing and not done anything out of the ordinary with it. Has anyone else had this problem. Should I return it? Total nightmare for something so expensive.

Maybe this helps.

Unless its something else, its gotten some gunk in there... read the notes about running it under some warm water... Apple has an official statement about it. Some folks who used it while sweating and working out had the same problem initially.

42 SS Milanese Loop

Excellent ... No issues
Better than I expected even after reading everything
Battery life has never been less than 37%
No scratches or scuffs
Info available with Glances a HUGE help every day

I absolutely LOVE IT

little scratches on the top of the screen

just reporting some little scuffs on the glass of my black sports watch...
they were going to show up eventually! I don't plan on babying this thing!
They are almost too small to take a picture of!

I've had the SS 38 mm for 10 days now and it looks like new. I have a microfiber cloth that I keep in a baggie in my nightstand drawer. Every night before bed I clean the back of the watch and "polish" the metal and glass before I put it on its charger.

Loving the space gray coating. Mine has zero scratches that I think is mainly because of the hard anodize coating. I feel for the polished stainless steel folks who are already getting hairline scratches. I guess the sport watch might look cheap but has better aesthetics in the long term.

Great point. I've been on the fence about the stainless vs the sport. The former is gorgeous but if it scratches easily, it sounds like it's not a good bet.

----------

Got my Space Grey Apple Watch Sport in the mail on April 27th. No damage to the screen or body (I work at a restaurant so my arms and hands especially are prone to getting dirty and bumping into things). I havent damaged the watch or gotten it soaked or even remotely wet though. However, the wrist detect isn't working anymore. Stopped working out of the blue just yesterday morning (May 10th). I raise my wrist to check the time, but i have to tap the screen to turn it on now. I went into the settings both on the watch and on my phone to ensure wrist detect is activated. I also reset the watch by holding the button under the crown. I also unpaired and re-paired my watch to my phone, but all in vein. The wrist detect still wont work. I was in SF and talked to a guy who worked in repairs and he said something along the lines of "just wait for an update...." Im not really happy with having to tap my screen all the time just to check the time and see my incoming notifications, but we'll see how soon Apple addresses and fixes this really annoying bug.

Good to know! I'm thinking of buying one.

For the what is your day like I'd be more interested to see how many are using the watch during their day than what they do during the day.

Otherwise, useful info.

Today I've got my Apple Watch Sport exactly 10 days, and no damage at all. Do have to say that I had a two week vacation, school started again today. And since I'm travelling to school by public transport, it might be possible my Watch will damage after all. At least, here in the Netherlands buses and trains are full of people in the morning. Really annoying, and it is definitely asking for damaging stuff like watches. :p

But at the other hand... I'm very careful with my Apple Watch. In fact, my coat has quite long sleeves, giving the display a little more protection. But time will tell how the Watch will really hold up. :)

For those who'd rather see the filled in form than reading a bunch of text:

One of the guys at work had to repair his AW with his phone through no fault of his own. I was like doesn't this thing stay connected to the phone. The watch shouldn't be allowed to unpair itself from the phone unless someone makes unpairs it through the phone and vice versa. I haven't had any of this trouble with mine to date.

scratches on the screen of my sport. upsetting, but not surprised. it's going to look like hell in a few months.

Holding up well so far. Had a small panic when I scraped the watch against a painted concrete block wall. Happily the paint seemed to save me from any damage, but I'm anxious for my screen protector to arrive.

Scratch on the top right corner and where the glass meets the stainless steel casing on the right side (opposite buttons, I'm a lefty). Glass is fine. I suck at coordination.

Apple Watch

seems like everyone has a negative review about the apple watch. i guess i will just stay out of it for. was considering buying one this summer.

Most are cosmetic issues - but those occur with normal wear and tear. I've had my Sport for over 2 weeks now and have had no issues.

10 days in and zero damage to the watch. Have worn it everyday from morning to night and showered with it everyday (sometimes multiple times a day). Best of all, I'm still really loving the watch!

Two things to consider;

1) it is the nature of the beast for most forums to have some negative content.

2) if you really look through this forum the positivity towards the Apple Watch far outways the negativity.

Had mine since launch day, only just put a case on it, but no scratches. Never scratched or dropped my iPhones either. I guess it pays to be careful.

Where did you get the film for the screen from?
