iPhone 12 mini How many Mini owners here?

Yesterday I had no Internet for an hour for whatever reason and I used hotspot for my work computer and it didn't drain much.
That requires you to go to that weird, exotic place called ‘overseas’, doesn’t it?
Anyway, picked myself up a red 128GB mini for $979 from The Good Guys today. Very happy to be back in the realm of 5/SE-sized phones for the first time in several years…
I have to say, ever since getting back out in the world, the lightness and size of the Mini is priceless when it comes to portability. It was hard to imagine how much of an impact those would have when we were living in a quarantined world.
I repeat myself: I love it. The size and the weight are so perfect in my opinion and the battery life isn’t a problem for my daily use. I just spent some days of holiday in the Italian Alps: woke up at 7.00 a.m., walking on the mountains until 2-3 p.m. taking pictures, phone calls and whatsapp messages, went to bed at 11-12 p.m. with, in the worst scenario, 30-35% of battery. The day before leaving I went to a weeding: the 12 mini naked with leather wallet literally disappeared in the pocket of my linen suit.
definitely not normal, my 12 pro max on 14.7 hardly drains overnight.
If you have background app refresh turned on, turn it off, useless feature that drains battery life.
Thanks. I'm honestly quite frustrated because I think it might be an iOS issue and there's nothing I can really do about it.
No probs, turning off background app refresh might fix it for you.
I just switched from a silver Pro Max (256gb) to a blue Mini (128gb) today. I got an iPad Pro 2021 (256gb) a couple of weeks ago for watching videos and whatnot. I’ll use my phone for talking and texting. Perfect for me and I already enjoy not having the weight of the 12 Pro Max in my pocket.

Nah, i went from a Xs max to a SE once, never making that mistake again. My next buy will be a 24” imac, JB has the one in stock i want but waiting for a 10% off sale, hopless here you can never get anyone when you ring to talk too.
It’s fine, at least on the sites I’ve visited. I typically browse on my iPad, though, so I am hopeful the small size won’t be a big deal.
Normally if you ask for the 10% off they give it to you, or just order it off the apple education site, they never check or ask for ID, I ordered my magic keyboard from there. Didn’t ask for anything when ordering or returning it. 😁👌😂

for me personally iPhone mini is the best choice. Just wish it had a Tele lens instead of wide angle
