How many waiting for Core 2 Duo to buy MB/MBP?

I don't care what processor is in it, I'm waiting for a MBP with a better form factor than is currently available so it might actually meet my needs.

i am going to go purchas a mbp in about 40 minutes

if a new c2d mbp comes out in the next 14 days ill eat my 180 bucks
if not
then i have a great computer capable of all my needs as a student

now is the 2.16 worth 500 more dollars?

I wouldn't spend too much on buying the current MBP. Specially if you can resell it by taking a loss of about $100-$150 and buying the *new* C2D MBP when it is released in a few weeks!

I think it comes with 1GB, 256MB vRAM and the faster processor, but I'd just go for the low-end one and upgrade it to 1GB which will cost like $90.

I agree with you Zimmy. All this waiting = money piling up = you can buy a better, more expensive computer. Maybe that's Apple's strategy, lol.
