My current bill is $75 a month.

$39.99 - 450 Minutes
$20.00 - Data
I don't remember the exact breakdown, I know I pay for extra text as well.

I expect my bill to go up only $10 with the new rate plan. So $85 a month, not bad for 3G service. I will gladly pay that for faster download speeds on the go. :D

same as my blackberry curve I have now.

I thought their were no corporate discounts for the iPhone. And I thought that corporate data plans are $45 a month.

Well, I don't pay my bill, my parents do but isn't it just your total plus 7% ( Nebraska tax) ?

no, the 7% you are thinking of is sales tax. taxES on a cell phone are piled on. ask your parents to see the phone bill and you'll be shocked at what cell phone companies charge us for. I think there are roughly 10+ tax charges that equate to an additional $15 on your regular bill.

i'll elaborate to clear it up. i don't use my iphone for company reasons....so i don't pay the 45.00 data plan charge.....just the 30.00 one. as for the 20% discount, i get that for working for a MAJOR firm. small perk, but every bit helps.

No texts are included in the plan. $5 = 500, $10 = 1500, $15 = unlimited.

Ummm, not exactly...

$5 gets you 200 texts...
$15 gets you 1500 texts...
$20 gets you unlimited texts...
$30 gets your entire family unlimited texts for family share plans...

This is straight from AT&T's website
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-ph...dles&source=IC57011131018500&_requestid=24525

Bummer, i guess I will add the $5 text then (don't text too much so 500 is plenty)
If you're wanting 500 texts, you'll actually need their $15 plan and get 1500 texts with their current pricing. Sorry =/

Uh, oh. My old verizon bill was $65 and I had the $59.99 plan so that was only an extra $5. I know that is lower than the $75 but how much more would it really be. Looks like I may have to chip in a bit............

40 for 450 minutes
30 for data
15 for 1500 text msgs
+15 for taxes
------------------
$100 mnthly bill right there....or 20 gallons of gas.

I am paying about 70 a month right now.

With the iPhone it will prob be the same or higher,
I will stick with my normal 39.99 plan plus the 30 for data, then 5 bucks for the 200 text. so its going to come out to be around 80 with the damn gov. tax. But I plan on getting a lot of use out of this product, so I think its worth it.

I'm really not looking forward to my bills after I get the phone, however I know I am going to need it for work, so Im just going to have to not dwell on the cost too much LOL

59.99 550 minutes family plan

9.99 extra line

9.99 extra 3rd line....can get rid of this in November though

30.00 iphone data

10.00 200 SMS for 2 lines ($5 each)

$139.97
plus all those ridiculous fees and taxes they add on that come to about $15-20 per month, so in total, I will be paying
$155-165 a month

On the family plan, don't you have to pay $30 per phone for the data? Or will you only have 1 iPhone in the plan that will use it? I'm wondering because I'm thinking of doing a family plan with 2 iPhones and I was expecting they'd charge $30 for each. Man, this is REALLY getting expensive. But, I'm giving up my landline so it'll balance out.

So, I have (3) iPhones & (1) Blackberry, and will be upgrading to (3) 3G iPhones, so I'm hoping that that will be an additional $30 per month = $269.88 or $67.25 per phone. Hope this helps, and I hope this is the future of my AT&T Wireless Bill...

$40 - 450 minutes
$30 - data
$5 - 200 text messages***
-$15 - (20% corporate discount, if they indeed allow this now)
$10 - taxes estimate
Total: $70

***This isn't officially confirmed by AT&T, see here, which says
We asked AT&T to clarify its stance on text messaging, which presently is included in AT&T’s $20 EDGE data plans for first-generation iPhones, but is not listed as an included feature in its $30 3G data service plan for iPhone 3G. Mark Siegel, Executive Director of Media Relations with AT&T Mobility said only that the company would “discuss details of data pricing, including text messaging, closer to launch.”

And from Macworld,
AT&T would not confirm to us whether SMS messages will come included in the iPhone plan

Minutes, data, unlimited text will come out to no more than $75, if that much. :D

uh...how?

minimum mins you can get is $40; unlimited text is $20; data is $30....right there you're already at $90.....then factor in taxes.

sorry bro....."no more than $75" is a pipe dream. come back to reality.

Next month I'm upping my plan to the Family Plan 2100 and of course my data will be $40 for 1 line as my wife will be keeping her 4GB iPhone and it will be $50 for my new iPhone 3G with both lines having unlimited texting. Hopefully my corp discount that I applied for next month kicks in sooner rather than later.

Keep it simple, how much will your monthly bill come to? Here is what mine will look like:

$59.99 - 900 Minutes (No way I can get by with 450)

$30.00 - Unlimited Data/Internet (Must Have)

$20.00 - Unlimited Text (Its a text world)

$4.99 - Insurance (Must Have)

$114.98 - Total before taxes/fees

$10.00 - Taxes & Fees (Estimated)

$124.98 - Grand Total

I currently pay $71.00/month with Verizon but I dont have data. With AT&T it will be roughly $55.00 more a month

Why dont you just go with the $99 unlimited plan?
