Of course, the screen split is not fixed at 50/50. As an example, the top screen could be set to the same area as an iPhone 4 leaving a lower screen area slightly larger than an iPhone 8.

All depends on what each window is using to suit your needs. And the ratio between the two screens can be easily changed on the fly.

Just keep digging that hole you are in. Most amusing.

I’m not the one arguing with myself.

IPX isn't, as a matter of fact none of ios device is. On a computer files are separated from application, likewise on Android your files are separated. What that means is that even when you delete apps on Android, your files remain intact unlike ios where precious files are gone when app is deleted, in addition to those files not being visible to others and also potentially creates multiple copies of same files within different apps. It's a very convoluted aspect of ios which is the main reason why I don't use any ios device as my primary.

How do you figure the iPhone X is not a ‘computer’, but the Galaxy Note 9 is? They both have similar capabilities with the exception of the S Pen. The way I see it, the iPhone X supersedes the Note with Face ID with 3-D facial mapping, longer iOS support over Android and stringent security methods. Those are likely features more favored to the consumer.

I see where your coming from But this new upstart is half the price of the One Plus. We shall see
Oneplus also started out selling well-specced phones at half their current prices as well, but it was clear that this was just a marketing move and never going to be a sustainable strategy moving forward. Eventually, they too had to raise prices in order to stay viable.

Companies selling cheap phones are nothing new. This is a repeat of 2013 all over again, where people claimed that iPhones would lose to cheaper android phones. As it turned out, not only did this not happen, but the iPhone went on to be sell in ever-increasing quantities (and at higher ASPs to boot). It was hilarious. Seeing their reactions of disbelief.

There is something about the iPhone that makes it immune to this sort of disruption. The people getting iPhones don't want cheaper phones; they want the unique iPhone experience that only Apple can provide, and will pay any price to get it.

The one plus has got note expensive over the years as the hardware improved. In the beginning it was dirt cheap.

It’s clutter. If I delete an app I want everything go. I don’t want random relics to remain.

As I said that’s cool.
It’s just a feature I wouldn’t use on a 6.4 inch device. That’s what I have the iPad Pro for.

It doesn’t hold a lot of information on either screen to be of much use, for me.

How small does the screen get after the keyboard pops out?

But isn't it kind of obvious that any of us would prefer a larger screen? It's nice to have the OPTION on a smaller screen in case that's all you have. I'm a big proponent of options, even if you only rarely use them.

Plus in your picture of side by side apps both of those apps look very usable. I would have no issue at all using them like that if I needed to share information between them. Posting that picture just illustrates how nice side by side mode is in practice.

"What do you think of the Galaxy Note 9 compared to the design of Apple's larger-screened 6.5-inch iPhone?"

Only one question for me: Does it run iOS? No? Then forget it.

I will go for the 5.8 inch model. I’ve enjoyed the 7 plus the 2 years I had it, but it’s just too big.

I agree. I've had the 6 plus and 7 plus and I've grown tired of the size and hand strain using this thing. My wife has the X and it seems like the perfect size for me. I'll be picking up the latest X this year.

Um yeah. Who cares about iOS 11?

Note 9 got spanked against the iPhone X
On iOS 12 beta 8. The note 9 was a stuttering mess.

Why is the note 9 slower on WiFi compared to the year old iPhone X. Strange thought it was suppose to be a beast.

Honestly stop posting the same video from that Apple biased channel. I'm actually feeling embarrassed for you at this point. You're coming across as that little guy who tries to pick fights with the big guy to try and prove how strong he is, all the while, nobody cares. I'm gonna give you my advice one more time, don't get bitter, get better.

You do realize that Apple themselves have long pushed images of iPhones with glare right in their marketing images, right? For example...

iphone5-black-front.jpg

...and...

apple-iphone-4_44w_enl.jpg

And wow- still love that iPhone 5 design. I wish Apple would have bigger-screened that same design, kept the camera flush as it was there, and filled that space with more battery. IMO, that would have been an AMAZING iPhone: much more battery life, flush camera, utility of the headphone jack option (too), etc. WOW!

If you visit Apple's marketing page for iPhone X on their site right now, they've got edge glare on 2 (TWO) sides all over that long scroll pitch page.
Wish they still made that same size.

Pretty pitiful argument to be honest.
To me, it's an honest argument. I despise the notch and that unnecessary line at the bottom of the screen, therefore by default any previous iPhone or any recent Samsung phone wins. Sorry if you don't like my opinion but it's my opinion. The X is terribly designed, I don't like any of my screens being covered up. This coming from an Apple fan who is deeply entrenched in the Apple ecosystem (iMac 27 inch, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, iPhone 8 Plus).

I have an iPhone X but it gets annoying with all the Apple fanboys continuously bragging about benchmarks. At least give credit where credit is due.

Btw, Note 9 destroys the iPhone X on "overall" benchmark performance.

As you brag about benchmarks...
Not bragging. When iPhone fanboys brag about benchmarks, it's only about processing power not overall benchmarks. Showing a video that points out overall benchmarks shows how fanboys only use certain benchmarks to blindly prove their point.

It certainly sounds like it. It all makes zero difference to most people who use iOS. For many, iOS is still the best all around platform when it comes to performance, security, privacy, ecosystem, apps, and support. Benchmarks are always solid on iPhones so it is what it is. People do, and I’m guilty of this also, push either benchmarks or those “real world” tests only because of the flock of Android people who come here and claim that those are the end all be all of a smartphone. That’s what Android has always been about though, specs. No spec or feature is enough to make me switch to Android, so what’s the difference.

Pretty impressive for a year old iPhone. I suppose the Android fans will now say that these tests don’t matter anymore, just like they did with benchmarks. The Note looks awfully choppy and glitchy going through it’s paces too. The X Plus, which is the proper comparison to the Note 9, is going to move the iPhone even further past it in terms of performance.

Can't speak about other fans, but I was/am really disappointed with the Note 9 in this test. It seemed to hesitate a lot when opening the apps. I still have my Note 8 and love it. The things that keep me away from the iPhone are the following;

IOS (no file system, no download from websites)
No headphone jack
Only face ID (in the biometric department that is)
Notch

If Apple would finally put a real file system in IOS, I might consider it.

Yea the stuttering and general UI weirdness was what I noticed. As with any hardware, I’m sure they’ll provide software updates to fix the problem. I don’t get the file system part as I store all my files in iCloud Drive and use the Files app. Everything is easy to manage from there. I don’t ever think about a file system, aside from accessing or manipulating things on my server from my iPad. Face ID and no headphone jack are here to stay so it just may not be a good fit for you. If I were you though, I’d grab an X Plus when they come out and give it a fair shot. You may be surprised how good it can be if you just take it for what it is. Tinkering ultimately gets old.

One more for you, just for good measure. That "Bionic" chip may need some oiling. It's getting a little rusty. Lol, Bionic, what a cheesy name. I can just imagine the cheeseball who came up with that name owning a pair Steve Austin Pj's. Lol

Is your response due to a lack of reading comprehension? In which case, let me break it down for you. This is not the same video. And as you can see, the videos I post keep getting better. So you see, I don't just give good advice, I also practice it. It's all good.

I am aware it’s not the same video. The insults don’t help your argument either. You’re doing the exact same thing the poster you commented on is doing. Posting endless “real world” videos that ultimately make no difference. You should try adopting your “don’t get bitter, get better” mantra. You sound bitter.

No surprise. DRAM is so much faster than storage. Once all your apps are loaded into that 6GB or 8GB of DRAM switching between them are instantaneous. As more of the non-STEM general public become educated they'll stop saying non-sense like you don't need more than 1GB on iOS.
