The 8s+ w/ 4 GB of DRAM @ $799 could be the surprise Top Seller !

The Hardware Home Button is an Absolute Gem of a Product Attribute to MANY Power Users ! ... enables FAST removal of Backgrounded / Suspended apps, potentially Freeing-up LOTS of additional DRAM !

The iPhone X-style iPhones do NOT have that Product Attribute ... @ least NOT with the 1st-Gen iPhone X.

Size of the X Plus looks great. I was hesitant at first but I think I’ll move back to the larger size. I’m considering going iPhone only instead of my iPhone/iPad combo depending on the split screen features. The Note looks very dated to me here, they need a redesign of their lineup to spark some sales into it.

Oh how wonderful it must be to have a crystal ball.

Perhaps you could tell us the exact specifications of the next Mac mini as you are able to see in the future!
So if I think the current X is better, you’re saying the X Plus will be worse than the current X? Does that make sense?

"Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 features a 6.4-inch display but Samsung has refused to embrace the notch". Who writes this garbage?? WHY would anyone WANT an ugly turd notch?!?

The only ones "embracing" the notch, are those that have embraced failure and compromise.

For the Note 9, the specs are probably very similar:

From Samsung's Galaxy S9 / S9+ specs page:

Exclusive to the S9+:
  • Live Focus with bokeh filters (background blur effect)
  • Dual Capture
Both:
  • Super Slow-mo video support 720p at 960 fps
  • Slow motion video support 1080p at 240 fps
  • Super Slow-mo only supports HD resolution. Limited to 20 shots per video with approximately 0.2 seconds of recording and 6 seconds of playback for each shot.
---

My Take:

1.) "Live Focus" & "Dual Capture" are TWO Features / Capabilities that the 9+ natively supports ... AAPL does NOT currently support either with their native iOS camera app.

2.) It is my personal opinion that what Samsung calls Slow-mo video, "will be AAPL's BIG new Feature addition with the Sept 2018 iPhones !" ... i.e., some amount of Dedicated Burst Photo DRAM.

3.) I'm expecting AAPL to include 512 MB of Dedicated Burst Photo DRAM, which is good-enough for 14 12 Mpx photos, 21 4K photos, OR 22 8 Mpx photos.

I'm actually considering getting the Note 9 this weekend. I'm pretty tied into the Apple ecosystem (MacBook Pro, 2x HomePod), but the idea of looking outside of it is intriguing.
Makes sense, you're located in enemy territory.. (just kidding :D)

More bezel? Might be a good thing. So many phantom touches moved me away from Samsung after the S7 Edge.

Though my Note 3 got a new battery and somehow still works fine. Good ROM and stays on every day.

Yeah, that moved me off the iPhone 7 plus. That and this Intel modem.

So far so good with the V30+.

I like the quad DAC. If Samsung had that and less edge screen, I'd be all over it.

I got myself a Sony XZ1 Compact. This little guy is packed with features. I've had it for 7 months and it still wows me to the point where I feel like I JUST got it.

Sound quality is great (typical, it's a Sony after all), two front firing speakers are a pleasure and the headphone jack is great since I use a single earbud headphone in the car for answering calls.

I can't imagine going to another without the jack.
