Does this apn setting also work for 5s?

I just received the newer SIM card, and now have it I installed. I assumed this apn would also work on my phone but only getting 4g. They told me my original att sim did not support LTE. My phone is factory unlocked and using the att ST sim. Thanks.

You have to have LTE in your area, you should see LTE in the upper left corner of your screen if it is available.

To get MMS & Group Messaging to work, you need to go to Best Buy and buy a T-Mobile SIM swap...

Use these settings:
APN: tfdata (goes in 2 places)
MMSC Address: http://mms-tf.net
Proxy: mms3.tracfone.com

Hope that helps!

Must the t-mobile be activated?

So if I have an AT&T iPhone 5 and get a new LTE AT&T compatible sim card, I should get LTE after just changing the APN settings? No SIM card swap business right?

Apparently the newest update fixed it to where you don't have to install a profile... But at worst, you can download the APN settings from unlockit.co.nz or through ST's website.

I just called in took me a while they told me to download a profile from IAPN.....

Once I installed I'm getting download speeds at around 12mpbs in NYC only problem is that picture text messages aren't working. Does anyone have any idea on what to do?

Just got LTE working.

Inserted the new sim card, added the tfdata APN from unlockit.nz, and got my sim card provisioned for LTE.

I still don't get picture texting so I uninstalled the apn setting straight talk told me to download and added the new straight talk apn from unlockit.nz and my internet didn't even work. I went back to what straight talk told me but still no mms pictures.

You guys do know you can just update to the latest iOS 7.0.3 and update the carrier profile now right? No need to mess with APN or SIM swap

Either update to 7.0.3, or buy a T-mobile SIM card and do the SIM swap trick...

You have to get Micro and cut it down.

How do I know if I got the right APN settings? I went to the site unlockit and there's 2 options for Straight Talk, 1 Straight Talk - new and another Straight Talk - old and I downloaded the Straight Talk - new and installed profile. Did I do it right?

Did you get this working? I have yet to get LTE ST working. I didn't know which APN settings to choose.

Which settings do you choose on unlockit?

Everyone is saying that if you are using the new LTE SIM card from Straight Talk, and update to 7.0.3, that you no longer need the settings... If you have all that and still need it, I can give them to you... Personally, if you don't have the LTE card, I would do the update through the http://iapnupdate.straighttalk.com instead of the unlockit.co.nz

I previously had an older ST SIM card with my iPhone 5, I just bought a new SIM to enable LTE.

Switching over my current number/service to the new SIM was easily done online.

My data is working, but only at 3G. I'm hoping that LTE will show up in about 15 minutes, as it did for others here. EDIT- Okay, after about an hour LTE signal is showing up on my phone!

One interesting thing is that I don't need an APN for data to work. However, I'm not sure if MMS works (will give it a try later.)

EDIT- From this thread, 1) new LTE Straight Talk SIM card plus 2) iOS 7.03 and/or carrier update now enables both data and MMS without having to change APN settings. If you have an older Straight Talk SIM (non-LTE), I think you still need to add APN (and do the SIM swap trick for MMS.)
