Hi community,
I have got an iPhone 16GB (Modell: MKQL2ZD/A, v 11.2.2 (15c202) ) and an issue. I want to know if there is a way to know/see ANY access to any menu, file or app inside my phone. The reason I ask this is because I am suspicious of somebody that could have had access to my smartphone today. This person was in a room and I was not there. And the phone was not locked by a pin, it was open.

For example, I want to know if this person had access to my
- contacts
- gallery
- messages
- call history
- apps, e.g. WhatsApp
- internet browser and
- if this person has changed (or just viewed) any settings?

Are these kind of things logged?

Is there an external app I can download
- A file manager? but this would only let me see the access date and time of files, not menus like "contacts" etc., right?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You can load the app switcher to see if there are open apps you haven’t used in a long time. You can also look at battery usage to see if any apps show significant screen time in the last 24 hours that you know wasn’t you. You can also check the browser history. I don’t think you can get much more than that, but maybe someone else will have another suggestion.

Might want to set a passcode.

Hi and thanks,

Isn't there a syslog file stored that I could read out. Even if it is in unreadible format, is there an app to read that out?

I don’t think so. Not even desktop computers log all activity unless you install spyware or cyber-nanny software. Even those are limited in what can be logged. The closest thing usually logged would be web browsing history. Those who manage specific systems can sometimes see when your device connects, but that would typically require authentication unless an app has a saved password, and those logs are server side.

Some individual apps have activity logs, but usually only when you edit or change something.

No. Also, only way to view that type of raw data would be to SSH into the iPhone. That would require jailbreaking. Why so worried if someone saw the iPhone?
