It looks like it pulls it from your contact info. If you change it there does it change it in ApplePay?

It initially pulled the address from my contact info, but changing it there didn't do anything. I added a new address, and made it the default, but I don't see any way to delete the old address.

The article says I can use my credit card that I use with itunes. However, ApplePay does not give me the option to select that.

I'm ready to update, but nervous.. the battery has been so much better with this phone, I'm afraid to break that cycle… How has the battery life been since you did the 8.1 update? iPhone 6…..

Amazon/Chase Visa doesn't work

Amex and my Wellfargo cards went in smoothly, but Amazon/Chase Visa does not.
I wonder if its Amazon that is blocking Chase from letting them use the card for :apple:Pay.

Has anyone else had any success with Amazon/Chase Visa card?

I've gotten 3 hours of use out of my phone since the update came out....

They shouldn't make the same mistake as with Siri and iTunes Radio, which both still aren't supported in the Netherlands...

What mistake? I don´t like it, but you can be sure that Apple most definitely did not forget The Netherlands. We are just a tiny insignificant segment in Apple´s total target market. US, Germany, UK, Italy, China, French, Spanish and Portugese speaking countries come first...

Hate it, but it is the reality we face. Imagine being Danish...

Just update to 8.1 and no option to setup Apple Pay at all. I open Passbook and all I get is:-

Passbook - Passbook keeps your boarding passes, camera tickets, etc. I see no visible change at all.

My cards are PNC and Barclay (old original apple credit card) to be enabled thjis year, and PNC said before end of month once. But not right now so cannot test this yet as I cannot add these yet. It does a good job with much of the scans of photo (depending on how clear text and numbers are) but then checks and says my card not yet supported so a useless feature for me for now.

I'm waiting on Pnc also. I called them today and they said not till next year cause they wanted to see how the service worked out. But pnc is partned with apple so I have a feeling it will be soon. The Guy didn't sound like he knew what he was saying.

I am totally baffled by this. It would seem that the 5s has all the security necessary, as it has TouchID built-in. Seems like a huge misstep to me. One would think they could make way more money providing more users access to Apple Pay than selling additional hardware.

As an owner of a 5s, I can't imagine myself ever buying an Apple Watch, thus never really being able to take advantage of Apple Pay until my contact expires in another year.

No, the 5S does not have the NFC chip that is needed for point of sale retail transactions. You can still use Apple Pay with an iPhone 5S for online transactions though.

FYI - The NFC chip in the iPhone 6 etc is used exclusively for Apple Pay and nothing else, unlike some of the Android phones with NFC.

Lol, yes, since it just came out like 3 hours ago right?

Fall 2014 is the target date. My educated guess would be Thanksgiving.

I think you have to log into your iCloud or Apple account to do that.

Click the + icon up top. Also you have to set your settings to USA in Settings > General > Language & Region

Also - do you have Touch ID enabled?

I wonder. But the charge was made on October 3, so it's not too recent.
BTW, I edited my post for clarity.

It probably is just reflecting the placeholder charge. It's oll korrect on my online statement so I'm not worried.

Are you sure that wasn't just a "sample" screen? I saw one for one of my credit cards that wasn't at all related to any real world transactions.

No, you can't. Pay is only supported on a 5S with an Watch, and then only in stores and not in-app. You need a device with a secure element, which the 5S does not have.

Lol, yes, since it just came out like 3 hours ago right?

I knew about the NFC for POS transaction, but I thought it would be available for online transactions, but am not seeing anyway to add an CC's in the 5s.

so far only 1 out of 3 cards supported. no Discover, no Credit Union debit card. i use those two significantly more often than the Chase card that was accepted. eh.

Are you saying the battery is getting chewed up?

I'm saying that in 3 hours its practically impossible to tell how the battery life is going to perform on a daily basis. I installed the update at 100% battery and I am now at 99% after 3 hours. That does not mean I will get 300 hours on a charge.

I noticed on the recent transactions (listed on the info page for my AmEx card in passbook) a charge for $99 from Shell (gas station).

I thought that was an odd amount so I looked it up on my AmEx online statement; it was only a $62.xx tank of gas.

Hmmmmm. I'll be paying close attention for a while.

Edit: for clarity, the gas purchase was not via apple pay. The recent transaction info just showed up when I added the card to passbook.

Thats just the preauthorization. It will finalize with the correct amount.
