how to unlock Iphone 3gs, modem 05.16.05

ok here the easy step an d what u need
1 ireb
2 itunes
3 ipsw 4.1
4 redsn0w0.9.10b1
first run ireb as administrador then phone onDFU mode start itunes shift+ restore ipsw 4.1 let it finish might come up with erro but just ignore it turn off the phone close itunes ,start itunes ,turn phone on DFU mode again ,restore ipsw 4.1 again after finish the phone will reboot, use redsnow to jailbreak, run cydia let it finish dowload, go to search find ultrasnow install it them u are done

As I can see on the steps above, there are few things I want to point out first.

1. Ireb basically a tool to help you to put your phone in Pwnage DFU. You can do that without Ireb if the ultimate goal is to downgrade the 3gs to 4.1.
2. When you have a baseband of 05.16 on your phone and you downgrade it to 4.1, you will get a 1015 error, the phone will go to recovery mode. On your step above, you mention to ignore it and then turn off the phone. It is impossible to turn off the phone when it is in recovery mode. So, please clarify.
3. Again, the second time to restore to 4.1, you did not mention the error at all and how you get it out of recovery mode.

Anyway, I will buy a 3GS and test this method as soon as I get a hold of 1 and report back.

after I got the error with the 4.1 fw, I launched snowbreeze and created a custom fw of 5.0.1. Snowbreeze will guide thru the process. Once is create it, launch ibooty wich it will b on ur desktop after creating the custom ipsw, once that's done launch itunes and shift+restore with the custom ipsw 5.0.1.

Last steps is to jailbreak the iphone with redsnow (latest version) and install ultrasnow.

Do you trust the dev team or newbie Huang? Dev team is the author of ultrasn0w and according to them, it is not support 05.16 baseband. So, it is not going to work. Don't waste your time.

What part of it dont you get? Ultrasnow doesnt unlock that baseband version.
I can try to turn water into gasoline all day but its just not going to happen.
You want to waste your time, go for it.

Just try it and give us ur feedback about this method, if it doesn't work just tell a mod or perhaps "Applejuiced" (he seems to be a mod in this forum) to delete this post, close it or bann huang and me from this forum. U have nothing to lose but to prove us right or wrong.

I did have 2 3GS last weeks with 05.16 baseband. However, I have unlocked them using Ipad baseband and returned them back to my friends already. If I do have 3GS in my possession, I can proof this to you and them immediately.

The process they listed out does not make sense at all because if you have baseband of 05.16 on your phone, even you downgrade it down to 4.1, you still have 05.16 baseband. You then upgrade it up to 5.0.1 by using customs firmware (create by sn0wbreeze). Why do you have to do this? This make no sense at all because the baseband on 5.0.1 is 05.16.

They just want to mess with you and wasting your time. You can follow their instruction all day long and it is not going to work.
