So, everyone's happy with the iPhone just the way it is. What do you think Apple is going to introduce this fall? LTE and NFC with the same tired OS and 3.5" screen? My iP4 is doing just fine, thank you. And I don't need LTE to burn through my limited data plan 10 times faster. I'll pass (again).

I'm perfectly content with my 4 and 4S, as is! However, LTE is the next *new feature/progression* that will be included [ and should be ].

I don't foresee me changing over to the iPhone 5 [ or the new iPhone or whatever it may be named ] unless it's a drastic upgrade in terms of design, and/or features!

Having used [ and still using ] Android devices [ EVO 4G, EVO 3D, Samsung GS 2 and Moto Razr Maxx ] I'm happy with iPhone's 3.5" screen! The 4"+ screens aren't really all that after a while..

How will you feel if on the outside it's an Iphone 4/4S but has LTE, 10mp camera, better flash, A6 duel core, NFC?

I doubt it will look the same. Apple acquired the liquid metal company a while ago, so I hope we see this implemented in the next iPhone.

I would feel just as I do today. That a smartphone is a wonderful tool & toy that isn't actually important enough to change how I feel.

That being said I'm a form following function kind of guy. I don't care for the design to change unless there's a functional reason for it.

I'd be content if it had LTE, improved camera, and the A5X with the same, or improved battery.

Seriously? I think that's completely unrealistic. How do you propose they do this? Put in a large sensor with an interchangeable lens system?

The first iPhone was beautiful... If Apple keeps the iPhone with the same look.. I'll be considering going back to Android.. Again!!!

I would like the next iPhone to be same look just 4" screen. Maybe a bit lighter. I didn't have the iPhone 4 so Im new to iPhone with the 4s. So that design isn't stale on me yet.

I didn't use a case for my 3G iPhone because I felt I could grasp it quite easily naked.

A few questions.

1.Without pockets where did you keep your phone?

2. Did people stare at you?

3. How did you handle winter weather?

What affect would an aluminum back have on the camera flash on iPhone? The white 4 was delayed becuased of washed out photos....would aluminum negatively affect photos? This may be a reason we will see a glass back again for the new iPhone.

I would feel like i would be using the same phone for 4 years. The design is great but I need innovative change every couple of years to be satisfied, as long as it's quality.

I'd be happy if they didn't change the design. Great designs don't need to be changed on every update. The aluminum PowerBook G4/Macbook Pro design was used for five years and for five years it was the best looking laptop available.

A larger screen would imply a larger phone. Phones bigger than the iPhone look ridiculous when stuffed into one's pocket or when holding them up during a call. The larger screen might make them more functional but at the expense of elegance, a tradeoff I wouldn't be willing to make.

This is easy... If you want the Android's features in a phone, get an Android and dont expect Apple to make the iPhone look like an Android.

The iPhone is what it is...

I've had the galaxy s II and the pictures were worse than the 4S side by side with no software tricks your talking about.

We're talking about hardware, not software which is what you are talking about.

If you want to talk about software, simply download camera+ app for $0.99 and you have all the same software effects you are talking about.

I agree he is talking about software however none of what he mentioned is available in Camera+. While it does offer a couple nice settings like a timer and some mild photo editing after the fact, the oem camera software of the s2 is light years beyond the ip4s.

I haven't tried any other camera software but even if there was something better Apple doesn't allow me to set it as the default camera. So I rarely end up using none apple camera software.

Smartphones will never have good flashes on them unless the phones themselves get bigger or (specifically the battery)....or maybe they start packing a 2nd battery onboard.

Go to the store and take a look at the flash bulbs/lights on ultra-compact cameras made by Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc....

These are large bulbs that are still powered by relatively capacitors. The batteries in smartphones don't have enough capacity to power these kinds of strobes ... and even these ultra-compact camera flashes STILL suck at strobing anything more than ~10 ft away.

Smartphones use LED flashes because of the low voltage/amperage load.

If you need good pictures in less than ideal conditions, then you need a real camera.

I can care less since I don't live in the bubble of my smartphone. My phone is my tool not my fashion accessory, so any new features that come out will just be added crap I'd just shrug at.

How much better can the Camera get? lmao

Agreed.

The 4S camera is amazing already and can replace your point-and-shoot camera, nothing more you can ask to be improved on it.

The iPhone camera is ok for daytime shots, but it is still lacking in the lo-light area. A better flash and some type of optical zoom would be a nice addition. The camera could be improved a lot, actually.

I personally would like to see a bit of a change. Just to keep the fresh/exciting feeling that comes with the redesign. I would love just a HINT of a bigger screen.

Either way, it's still an excellent product.
