In your 11 odd hours of iPhone off the charger, you have used it for 8 hours.. Phew... I normally achieve a usage of 8 hours in 2 full days or so.. Min 40 to 45 hours roughly

I use it for work. When I'm not talking on the phone, texting, and emailing, I'm streaming music from DI Radio. This is the first iPhone that can get me through an entire work day without plugging it in. Just to get to 1% for that picture I had to AirPlay Hulu for an hour or so when I got home from work.

I'm pretty happy with this, it's such a change from my 5S that I needed to be tethered to a wall output several times a day.

Mine had been great, but suddenly Words with Friends is using 30-40%. I have an iPhone 6 Plus.

Last four cycles with my TSMC iPhone 6s. Good enough for me, I am happy. Screen brightness at 50%, in flight mode over night and some battery saver on some days (when reaching 20%)

Same here. My TSMC has been doing great. So glad that I traded the Samsung chip in for it!!!

About the same as I get with my Samsung 6s. So glad I didn't bother exchanging.

With all the bad screens floating around much more likely to get a jacked up screen. If you want a tmsc better to swap the screen once you get one if its bad.

I get consistently 7+ hours usage on my samsung iphone 6s. However using battery doctor and coconut my current 6s always shows battery health of 100,6% while other iphones i've seen are ranging between 100,6% and 106,8%. Are there manufacturing tolerances between batteries? Some batteries seem to have higher capacities

I would of only exchanged if I had a bad screen or any other defects. Not because I have a Samsung chip that gets the same battery life as all these other 6s's with tmcs chips.

Trust me.....your Samsung is not getting the same battery life as the tmcs. It may make you feel better about your Sammy to say that but it's not true.

I just got my iPhone 6s +. Am I supposed to run the battery down to 0% each time before recharging? Can I leave the phone on the charger charging overnight?

I just want to ensure that i get the best battery life out of the phone possible.

Thanks!

No, you don't want to run the battery down to 0%. If anything it is harmful for the battery. You can obviously leave it charging overnight. There are things in place to prevent damaging your phone even when it reaches 100%.

Also when it reaches 0%, which isn't really 0% where the battery is concerned. I have run all my iPhones down to 1% or until they switch themselves off every single day, for years and with no detrimental effects. I purposefully buy phones with a long battery life because I actually need that battery life. What good is a long lasting battery if I'm not permitted to use it (all)?

Its designed so that you can plug it in whenever its convenient or needed... full, empty, whatever. Just enjoy your iPhone and don't get OCD about how to charge it. I put mine on the charger at night, and take it off when I wake up, as I've done with every other iPhone I've ever owned.

I've been unplugged for 17 hours and about to go to bed but feel guilty for wanting to plug my phone in cause it still has 74% left!

I plug my phone in nightly whether it needs it or not for two reasons:

1. It only backs up to iCloud when plugged in.
2. I don't know what will happen the following day and I might need the extra charge.

updated to 9.2 beta and battery life still very good

got 12 hours usage and 20 hours standby

Took off charge at 5am and by 23:30 it was on 8%. So happy with that. That said I'm used to far more standby time normally 24-36 but still as long as it lasts me all day thats the main thing

Had to replace my tsmc and now stuck with a Samsung. So basically, does Samsung perform better but tsmc runs cooler and has batter battery life in heavy usage. Does that sum it up?
