The battery life has deteriorated after a month for me. I used to get 7-8 hours of usage time, which I was extremely happy with. Now, the usage is at 4:30 hours and my battery is at 30%. Is there anything I should change to extend it? I am not a big fan of the low power mode.

P.S. My usage has been pretty much the same all throughout.

Have you noticed which apps use the most battery, especially when you are not on them, i.e. Facebook as a for instance.

Has your location changed, new job, different after hours locations?

Have you changed the amount of time on with cellular vs wifi?

These are a few things that spring to mind right off. You might want to drop by an Apple Store and have them run a battery diagnostic. Or try doing so over phone with apple support. Just to make sure it isn't a failing battery. It's rare, but does happen.

Had to replace my tsmc and now stuck with a Samsung. So basically, does Samsung perform better but tsmc runs cooler and has batter battery life in heavy usage. Does that sum it up?

Actually, the TSMC chip has performed better in benchmarks as well. It's pretty much superior in every way, though how superior is up for debate and further testing of course.

I would say just ignore all the differences. Any which ways Apple is not going to replace your phone based on the chip it carries and more than 50% of the phones sold have Samsung chip.

So why fret over something which doesn't have a solution? Also the difference in real world is going to be negligible

Still on my initial charge (bought it Wednesday afternoon and charged it for about 30 minutes as I music was downloading ) and it is at 33% today.

Standby is excellent (at most 4% overnight if that), typing on it eats up battery, as is the case with me for any Apple mobile device.

Happy I can leave the phone on all day now (which I couldn't do with smaller iPhones.)

UPDATE: When it hit 20% I decided to recharge at that point (old habits) I had 9 hours of usage and 70 hours of standby. I'm sure I could have gotten 11-12 hours had I kept using the phone down to 5%, but I am super happy with the phone thus far.

I won't be upgrading the iOS for as long as I can hold out. Past experiences with iOS 8 and even early iOS 9 upgrades over the last year made me loathe using my iPhone 6 as anything but a commute killer (music, movies, notes and very, very light internet / email usage.)

This is the first 100 to 1% round for my new 6S Plus TSMC. Seems to be about average regardless of chip. I'm sure this will vary by an hour in either direction depending on my usage. Either way, I'm very pleased!

Last cycle after owning the phone for almost 2 months. 6s 64GB. No battery saver at all, display 40-50% brightness. I'm impressed, best cycle so far for me!

I noticed that my camera app uses battery like crazy! Just took some 4 minute 1080 60fps video clip and the camera sucked 10% of my battery! Noticed that before already. As my posts in this thread show, I am very happy with the battery life of my 6s. But the camera battery usage really annoys me. Is that normal? Anyone else having the same issue?

Just opened the camera app to take a photo and again it sucked 1% just from opening... That can't be normal but other than that the battery is great. So weird.

I only have a 6s and the batterylife is really superb! I have never ever used the power saving mode so Im really satisfied.

I have the TSMC chip.

Twitter uses a lot of my battery but not sure if thats because of notifications and i use it a fair amount. Still its always over 30%

I got my phone (6s) on launch day and after a few days with it I thought I would keep a record of charging. It has the TSMC chip. I am retired and I don't use the phone intensively, tend to run down the battery and don't use social media. It replaced a Nokia Lumia 820 and the iphone is way better in every respect.

I find the battery life to be excellent and it has exceeded my expectations.

iPhone battery record: Usually phone switched off overnight.

I'm trying to figure out why Tumblr uses 50% of my battery...That's ridiculous. And I'm wondering if I use it in Safari if it will use less battery.

The usage stats are very uneven.. Do you use the phone consistently in a similar fashion or did you use more of battery intensive apps when your usage is showing lower..

Basis my observations thus far, camera, photos, videos and news 360 apps cause battery drains so whichever days I tend to use more of these apps my usage stats goes down a bit.. But my standby time is pretty consistent till now

First off if you hit the little clock button to right of seven day button you will get reported onscreen vs standby times for each ap. Tumbler may be one of those apps working your radios hard in standby. It could also be an app that is hung up close it remove it and re download it. You may also want to hard boot your phone, power and home button same time till Apple appears.

I have 9.2 beta 4 and my battery usage indicator seems to be not working. The usage time and the standby times stay the same. Any ideas?GetAttachment.jpg

Something is not right with my battery.

6s plus, took the screenshot when it reached the point where it's been exactly 24 hrs since I plugged it in yesterday. Obviously the standby time started at the point when I took it off the charger. So no extra time overlap of the screen on time details, what I see is what I got from one cycle in 24 hours: a little over 9 hours of screen on time with 10 percent left. Mostly on wifi today, phone signal is pretty crap ranging from one to two dots. An hour of That safari screen on time included streaming of hd quality video. Auto Brightness on.
