10 hours of usage seems to be the average. Same for me. Sometimes a bit under 10 hours, sometimes a bit more.

Yeah about right. Sometimes I get up to 14 hours but depends how long the standby is

Guys I am quite impressed by the usage times reported in this post and, more, by the on screen times.
I have a 6s with samsung chip and i am unable to achieve so long times. With about 2 days of stndby i barely arrive to 6 or 7 hours of use and the on screen times are not as long as reported here.
I had requested an exchange with apple care and i returned the replacement unit back as it had the same (short) duration (as well as samsung chip).
May people, reporting so long durations, indicate please which chip they have and mainly which settings use with respect to optimizarion of battery duration?
I would like to understand whether the chip plays a role or not and whether or not i should go for another replacement.

I use the phone for calls, texting, safari and some social apps. 4g (no lte) at work with 3-4 dots reception and good wifi at home.

Thanks all.

6s plus, took the screenshot when it reached the point where it's been exactly 24 hrs since I plugged it in yesterday. Obviously the standby time started at the point when I took it off the charger. So no extra time overlap of the screen on time details, what I see is what I got from one cycle in 24 hours: a little over 9 hours of screen on time with 10 percent left. Mostly on wifi today, phone signal is pretty crap ranging from one to two dots. An hour of That safari screen on time included streaming of hd quality video. Auto Brightness on.

Samsung chip. Be aware that many of the screenshots on here were not made exactly 24hrs after the last time they plugged it in (without usage during plug in), so their screen on time details are usually not accurate. In your case (2days of standby) you will be missing out a bit because naturally some of the previous day's screen on time details have been flushed out In the 24hr battery details tab.

Thanks for the reply but what do you think in general about the battery duration in terms of usage? On phone apple care diagnostics said the battery is ok. Thanks for your kind feedback

Typically, I get about 7 to 10 hours of real screen on time. My phone usage behaviour mainly consists of using youtube, streaming shows or football games within browser and a few hours of normal browsing. If i set it all day at 50 percent brightness, I get about 7 to 8 hours sot with my usage, with lower brightness 9 to at best 11. Usually I am connected to wifi, phone signal from my work and house is one to two dots.

I get through a 24 hour cycle and with my usage I am quite satisfied with the battery.

Edit: i notice that you said you are on a 6s. I am on a 6s plus. I believe the battery life you reported on your 6s seems pretty normal. If you want more you have to get the bigger phone.

Truly thabks for your reply. I am trying indeed to see how it goes today and i am using a lot safari on wifi. I think that my impression of low battery duration is biased by the long standby time. Moreover it seems that whan waking the phone up from normal dark screen it consumes some juice likely due to the wakeup and stronger signal cell search. I am considering to leap onto the bigger phone as i am appealed by the larger screen and by the longer life battery of course. Thanks
P.S. I am at 80% left with 2h12 usage including some music streaming and a lot of safari on top of some text and calls. It looks good so far.

Shakes head.......I don't get people sometimes. They want more battery life but somehow the battery shouldn't take up space? You don't like the design? Don't buy it. So instead of a two piece slip together battery case like all others, they designed a one piece flex case with extra power.

Is it beautiful, not really. But it serves a purpose. It's another choice. When you need extra battery life put it on. When you don't leave it off. I remember a lot of phones had a hump battery for longer battery life. Razors, flip phones etc.

There are a lot of auxiliary cases that look downright ugly, and completely destroy the style, look and feel of the iPhone. So let's all rag on them. I would never use some armored case myself but it's an OPTION that others have. If they use it I am not offended, nor do I feel need to come on here and say how ugly they are.

Smile it was simple and sane humor

The battery gauge is not always very accurate. I'll still remain on 100% for about 45 minutes while streaming BT audio and using the phone when it should have gone down a couple of percent. Then it would sleep doing nothing for an hour right after that and it will lose 3-4%. It's as if the gauge doesn't catch up to the actual usage.

I noticed the same indeed even at part percentage
I see indeed that after keeping the phone in stbdby for about 1-2h when i wake it up and start surfing or using services with wifi or 4g there are 2-3 percents going fast in first 5 min and then it settles down.

Very happy with 6S plus battery life, coming from a 5S. I don't really think about it at all any more. Just charge at night.

9.2 has got me back up to 2-3 days of moderate usage. I'd call it heavy but it's on in the evening I really use my phone. Great software management compared to the later 1.x updates.

Though think how good this would of been with a bigger battery.

May I please request you to check something? When i open apple store app (i am talking about the app to buy accessories, phones, Etc. and not the app store for applications) it drains rapidly the battery when navigating through it. About 1% every 2 min. This happens in wifi on which, if surfing with safari, i am able to have 1% loss every 5-6min. In a nutshell, why is apple store app so consuming? Thanks all.
