May I please request all of you to check something? When i open apple store app (i am talking about the app to buy accessories, phones, Etc. and not the app store for applications) it drains rapidly the battery when navigating through it. About 1% every 2 min. This happens in wifi on which, if surfing with safari, i am able to have 1% loss every 5-6min. In a nutshell, why is apple store app so consuming? Thanks all.
I think I recall someone mentioning something similar not too long ago. I think what was behind it was either location services or Bluetooth (in relation iBeacon possibly).

Thanks but i tried with location off and Apple Store app Is still draining'about 1% per 2 min.
Did you try on yours please?

It is off too and the drain is indeed almost 1% per min
Odd. I just browsed around the Apple Store app for a little over 10 minutes while on WiFi (on my iPhone 6 with iOS 9.2) and my battery went down from 64% to 62% in that time.

Most of them are off but i selected location off specifically for apple store app. I try again with all location off and let you know.
No change, i.e even with location off. Very weird!
Could this be an issue only on "s" phones?
Similarly to the large drain occurring with camera which drains a lot when doing panoramas for instance.
May 6s people give a try please?
Thanks

And what is location status on your phone?
I have location services enabled in general but only have certain apps allowed to use them. In case of the Apple Store it's set not to use location services. (Bluetooth is also off.)

Based on a similar discussion relating to panoramas I recall that location usage was a big contributor to that.

Indeed but apple store app drains on my phone evenwith location off. I tried on a friend of mine iphone 6 and it takes 1% per about 2 min on his. Very odd.
Other feedbacks would be interesting.
Thanks

How it is?! is it ok or there's something wrong with my battery (3g or Wifi all the time, location off, siri off, background app off)? i6s tsmc.

Also, why whatsapp stay in background so much?!!?what should i do? I have background app refresh off.

My latest on my 6s Plus. This was 8am Saturday to about 7pm Sunday. The usage is off the charts here. I feel like something was running lightly in the background a LOT, but none of the stats really show what happened. Even if this is something of a glitch it was a really impressive run from 100% - 1%.

Maybe the icloud backup. I had the same on mine

i would like to insist on something that has been said in a previous post: do you note sudden drops of battery percentages when waking up the phone from a relatively long standby, either connected on wifi or on 4g, and doing something requiring data connection? I can see some drops of 1-2% then the phone consumes battery at average rate. Any similar experience? Thanks all

Not sure why but battery life is sucky the day without my watch on

65% left and took off charge at 8am...drained from 89% to 71% taking dog for a walk in one hour. Was listening to podcasts though

when my iphone 6 charging in my percentage is 5% after few minutes i unlock my phone is 9% and 1 seconds change 22% how to fix it????? Ios 9.1 iphone is new one week old my first battery test is 7h usage now very fast draining

It's excellent. My iphone 6s plus can make it through a day and well into the next on a charge. Though I find it does a lot less background usage than my android phone which is a big reason why battery life is better. Widgets don't update unless you actually look at them. Camera backup to dropbox, onedrive, flickr and others doesn't actually take place unless I open the app.

Did you try to leap onto 9.2?

My 6s (since 11:00 a.m. yesterday:)

Usage: 9 hours 54 minutes - finally went down to 5% an hour ago.

Standby: 33 hours and 10 minutes

It's nice to be able to keep the phone on and not have to charge until the next day. I'm not a power user, but for the few apps I use a lot, I'm happy.

For some reason, the 6s seems much bigger than the 6 to me. I know they're the same size, but still.

Did you listen to any music with spotify or apple music etc?

I do not understand either why there are sometimes leaps of battery usage. It lioks like there is something consuming a lot or that the percentage calibration is inaccurate. Quite surprising and annoying
