I find my 6s Plus battery life pretty dreadful really. It drops more rapidly than my year old 6 Plus. And it gets MUCH warmer under normal use than my 6 Plus ever did.

Battery life and heat are my two major complaints.

You've been on the web for 8.4 hours?! There have to had been a charge somewhere that's amazng!
No charge. The phone is good for 10 hours of web surfing, although with the other odds and ends I was doing such as Facebook, You Tube, Mail, App Store downloads and iMessage etc I didn't manage that length of time.

If you have excluded the possibility of a bad backup by setting up as a new phone, and your 6S+ has the exact-same settings as your 6+, I would say that you have a hardware fault.

What stats you getting on average?

Went from 6+ to a 6S+. Battery has been amazing for me. Charging my phone tonight for the first time since Monday night. Granted, I have been in the field on a job site since Monday (not much time for phone usage during the day) but this is a marked improvement in my experience.

Not even an hour has passed and I'm surfing the web and on tumblr and my battery is already at 93% does this sound normal to you guys I have a 6S+

After calibration on Monday, my battery life is looking super good. This is on a 6s, and I have been playing games and streaming iTunes Match from the Music app and watching Netflix:

Couldn't be happier!

About 7 hours of use (some browsing, some phone calls, some just BT music streaming with the screen off). Very disappointing. Don't think there's anything wrong with the hardware, though. Brightness is always about 25-35%. I'll monitor it over the coming days and see how it goes. For me, though, certainly a downgrade from the 6 Plus in the battery department. I see it drop from 100% much faster than my 6 Plus did, too. Shame.

If it's nothing to do with your backup, if you have the same settings that you had on your 6+, and you're on the same mobile network then it must be hardware because my 6S+ battery life is actually better than I used to get with the 6+. Maybe not better than a brand new one (no worse) but it is better than my 10 month old one.

Tumblr is a battery-sapping app and approx 10% drain per hour is normal behaviour on the 6S+.
There are certain settings you can toggle to maximise battery life, have a play.

Did you calibrate your battery meter yet? (Run your phone all the way out of power til it turns off then fully charge without using at all and leave on charger 2 hours beyond 100%)? That's necessary to do any battery comparisons. You're the only one so far to report 6S+ worse than 6+ (IF you've already done battery calibration). One person also needed to restore to 9.0.1 fresh with a DFU restore to get fully battery life potential. I assure you - the 6S+ battery is quite superior to the 6+ battery. If that's not your experience then get a replacement or try anything I mention above that you haven't done yet on your phone. But don't make it sound like Apple failed. They fully succeeded in battery life on the 6S+ compared to the 6+ - as much proof has already been presented for here.

I feel like I am actually getting more SOT with the 6s than I was with the 6. I am not sure if it is the fact I set the phone up as new, or the fact IOS 9 manages battery better. It is probably a combination of the two.

This is completely unnecessary; in fact depleting your battery until the device dies isn't good for it. We would do well to stop perpetuating these antiquated ideas about battery management that haven't been relevant in over a decade or more.

Ah.. People - please only use "common" acronyms. I've been in the computer world for 30 years and have never seen the acronym SOT.
It's more commonly used in android world, not much with iOS devices...since there's no way to measure screen on time on iPhone , usage also includes music playing in the background when screen is off
