My usage from today on my 6s that I got Friday. Does this seem typical?

My 6S+ battery life is superb. It is even better than my old 6+ and that was no slouch.:)

Battery life on my 6S was great today when I accidentally had low power mode on most of the day! Usually was averaging around 5.5-6hours.

Anyone else notice that the low power mode actually works on the 6S/S+? On my regular 6+ it didn't really extend my battery at all, but it's doing quite well extending the last 15% out.

If this is typical then it's extremely disappointing. So far mine is quite similar. I don't get it why standby time is so short with this 6s. I thought iphone is best at standby time.

Coming from an iPhone 6 Plus I must say I am pretty happy with the battery life on my regular 6S. I knew I would experience a drop in battery life but it doesn't seem like that much of a difference. Here is a photo of my usage. I had wifi on constantly and didn't use lte much. I also used bluetooth to connect to an external speaker, enabled instant email notifications, sent text messages, browsed safari, took several live photos and used spotify and the music app. I did not use Low Power Mode.

Well just about to go bed after a night shift and decided to leave 4G on with the work wifi and battery life is no different than with 4G off....battery life stays great

went from the 6 Plus to the regular size 6s and i reallllyyyy miss my big battery already.

Gotta agree.. I think I didn't realize how big of a difference the battery life was in my previous 6 plus vs my current 6S. I'm considering getting a external battery or just exchanging it for the 6S Plus if my local Apple Store gets some in time before my return policy date runs out. I like the smaller form factor in some cases, but I miss the plus' battery life, optical image stabilization, immersive screen when watching YouTube or just browsing the Internet.

Okay, it's normalising a bit now. Getting pretty decent results. Low power from 20%. Hey Siri is off. I'll try on tomorrow. I was also downloading a lot of albums for offline use at the beginning so would get more if I cut that out.

Whaaat? Those numbers are waaay lower than your last screenshot when you turned off the LTE/4G.. Not sure why you'd say they're the same...

The battery life on my 6S is alright. On wi-fi the entire time at around 60% brightness. No low power mode and all background updating and location services are enabled.

Those are really great numbers for 6S. I never got anything close to that with my 6.

So far in this thread I haven't seen much evidence of the 6S+ blowing the 6S out of the water with battery life.. Seems like at most 10-15% more power.. And with some of your usage patterns - 6S and 6S+ seem about the same. Interesting.

Only the standby time it's off...based on usage I would still expect to get well over 14 hours usage here.

Will see what it ends like...keeping 4G may well lose me an hour or two

Mine hasn't hit 80% from a day's usage yet, loving the battery life.

I reckon if i switched it off overnight i'd get 4/5 days out of it.

Surely you would get over a day's usage from any phone on the market so battery life should never be a concern for you.

Wow that is truly amazing. How are you guys getting these results? Is this all wifi?

The stats I uploaded were from a day mainly spent surfing the web over WiFi. There was maybe 30 mins of 4G browsing and some other bits & bobs.
