Pretty cool, but I don't think I'll be needing to hook my phone up to my HDTV anytime soon.

It's a nice way to show off all that 720p video you recorded tho! :D

No kidding. Maybe he was the guy who 5 years ago said "I will never need the internet on my phone when I have this cool new laptop" :p

incredable looking phone just a shame its on sprint. sprint blows hope they open that phone up to more companys but wimax is only for sprint, while everyone esle is going to a faster LTE 4G

No, I buy just about every new tech gadget available. As I said, it's cool, but not something that would carry much weight in my purchase decision. I'd be far more concerned with the battery life when it's playing back that 720p video through HDMI.

Personally, all my recorded videos would immediately go on a media server at home. I guess I could see using it to play video for my kids on a trip, but we already do that with iPods.

Being on Sprint is what will hold this one back.

Its gonna take more than multitasking to keep me on board with the iPhone now. This thing is phenomenal on EVERY front. It even has HDMI and a kickstand!

HTC is turning out a slew of Android super phones.....Apple is officially behind. They really need to step up their game come June/July. Oh yeah, there's an App for that!

The problem now is....well i don't know if its a problem, more like an option....I can now remove the iPhone from my life and get this HTC Evo without losing out really because I'm getting an iPad next weekend.

Beautiful phone, however sprints 4g is very very very limited. Its gonna be a while until we can use the "4g" part of this device.

Not true really. 4G is already running in 27 major cities (over 60 million people) and they just announced about 30 more that will cover over 120 million people by fall. Oh, whoever asked, this phone will be a Sprint exclusive :) Sure, LTE might technically be faster, but it would never be noticeable even with two devices side by side. Besides, no carrier is even close to rolling out their LTE 4G networks. You will be lucky to see it by 2011 at this rate.

Looks amazing!

Apple is going to need a big anouncement this summer, I don't think a new notification system and better battery life will be enough.

I hope Apple has something more has more to offer than multitasking, notification system and better battery life. Thats DEFINITELY not enough to attract me back to the iPhone. I now I have the option to buy these GREAT HTC phones with great specs. I hope and pray that 4.0 major feature isn't multitasking. I will feel sorry for Apple. :(

I already have multitasking on my jailbroken 3G....

...Along with most of the other tech that Jobs has witheld with each release,so you're left wanting every year! I have installed an out of market 1800mah battery,so it can handle all this too.The 3gs has only1400 and 3g just under 1200. The lazy release of that mere update in the 3GS was a disgrace and embarrassment last year. I'm sick of it frankly. Apple and Microsoft do the same crap with their overpriced proprietory soft and hardware. Everything should be open source and priced accordingly. I hate the way that, rather than stepping up to try and beat HTC, they just come with a load of lawsuits to try and drag em back. The general consensous is that it's gonna be 5meg cam on the 4g,so only 3yr old tech there. I know the 4g will be pretty Steve, but we want substance too this year please?! At least 1800mah battery,HD oled screen, minimum 8meg cam with flash and a decent lens,1gig processor,512ram and upto 64gig disk. There is just one reason for me keeping me with my iphone 270 apps. I just wish Google would buy out Palm before they go bust and get that OS somehow incorperated into Android,it's amazing. The Evo, if anything like the HD2, but without awful Win Mobile, it is amazing. Apple have been overtaken now fanboys, sorry...

Those photos convinced me that the 2010 iPhone will finally get a larger screen.

Seeing the 3G iPhone next to that HTC sure FEELS like comparing an iPod Classic to an iPod Touch!

I mean, it's not literally that much different, but it really does give the impression of being that different.

There's no way Apple will stay with that same size screen and edges this summer.

Keeping it within the Apple family, I notice how clunky the 20 inch G5s iMacs now look compared to the modern iMacs, that's kinda of how i think the iPhone looks in comparison to the new competition. I'd like to see the iPhone evolution to mirror the iMacs template.

This looks like a really feature packed phone.

Does anyone know of a UK release date for this?

Im worried about the phone supporting 4G as we struggle to get 3G in the UK at the moment.

Yikes! What a tacky phone! The hardware looks alright, but the user interface is awful. What good are all those feature if you have to burn your eyes to look at them? And wow, it has a whole 1GB of internal storage? Android phones are really improving aren't they?

Thanks! I love the SD card slot on my iPhone! Oh... Wait... That's right.

I'm def going to wait for the iPhone 4G to come out before I decide on another phone. A lot of people have forgotten that Apple was the one who thought of this concept way before anyone else did. These companies have had about 3 years to put their devices together. I still am willing to bet that Apple is going to have some great stuff debut this summer with the new iPhone.

Of course we won't know till we see it, but either way, I'm going to wait first.

Are you serious?

After 3 years with an iPhone and syncing over iTunes etc., how would a phone like this work with my Mac (iCal, Address Book etc.)?

Is it an easy transition?

Haha no kidding. Some people are obsessed with internal storage.

Not only is just on more thing that can break (I have had 2 ipods fail for this very reason)

But I happen to appreciate expandable storage.

Well all my contacts were in gmail already, as far is iCal I just switched to Google Calender.

There may be a way to sync the two or at least export existing ones, but I didn't bother.

As far as using the google services in place of Apple's frankly I prefer Google's, its push so I get updates as they happen, no need to wait for mobile me to sync everything in 5, 10, or 15 min interavals

Verizon says they'll market LTE by the end of this year, covering 100 million people.

VZW will be selling LTE+CDMA data cards, with handsets coming mid-2011.

(Clearwire is pushing to cover 120 million with WiMAX by end of 2010, btw.)

This looks like an awesome phone, but two questions:

1. Where in the hell would you carry this thing? A briefcase or a man-purse?

2. Is Android only for Gmail accounts or can you set up an Exchange account with another email account? I despise Google.
