Wife's Plus also got around 6 hours with brightness at 90% all day. That seems to be the norm.

iPhone 6 Plus (128GB) with moderate/heavy usage and auto–brightness enabled. 4G signal strength from EE is strong, though the majority of time is spent on WiFi. I recently restored this device and “Set Up as New iPhone”, it made a real difference and I recommend those with battery woes try the same.

Tip: If you’re worried about losing old messages starting a new, here’s a guide on how to transfer them across on a fresh install. The comments include a similar technique for photos.

That absolutely seems incredibly low. Here's what I'm getting on my 6 Plus under average use. I haven't deployed any sort of crazy "battery optimization" techniques and I'm a fairly heavy iPhone user. Super pleased with the battery life on my 6 Plus.

His is not incredibly low. The fact is yours is incredibly high beyond belief actually.

Ooops nevermind. Its been plugged in since last full charge. That's why.

Waze uses 3G and GPS at the same time. Battery killer, always was always will be. My 4S used to give me 2 hours of waze from 100% to 0% lol. I bought a simple kenwood car stereo with a usb port for something like 60 bucks and plug it in when i need music and gps, so you not only not lose the charge but actually have more when you're finished :)

You are a liar because that is PHYSICALLY impossible. No offense or anything, the battery on the plus averages something like 10 hours, similar to an iPad.

Well like I said, short of inviting you to spend the day with me I can't make you believe me. I uploaded as much proof as I can provide over the internet. Like I said I would have to be a pretty sad individual to fake good battery life of my phone over the internet.
I'm looking at my screen now and I have 6 hour 51 mins usage, 10 hours 48 mins standby and my battery is currently on 46%. Whether you believe it or not, that is what I am getting.

I'm glad to see several other users posting screenshots showing similar stats to me. I guess you would call us all liars and photoshop experts I guess?

Yep

If stand by and usage are identical, there might be a rogue app or something always trying to update. Try restarting it and see if that helps.

For me it's my corporate email server. As an I.T. guy it's kind of required. I still get great battery life.

Currently More says active battery life is 22h 57min. I've been using the phone a lot of the morning too referencing a spreadsheet going thru an office person by person on the sheet.

But my day is just getting started. Says 6 hours 30 minutes for both usage and standby but I constantly am getting email, all day long, hundreds of messages. It never stops.

Now that I think about that, I see music 9%. from those 8 and the half hours you've probably listened 2-3 hours to your music, which counts as usage but consumes almost nothing. it seemed you were getting 15 hours of usage which is obviously possible, but we are talking about real usage and on screen time, not listening to music in background and screen off, thus my comment about impossible. Screen time usage seems to be about 10 hours, which is amazing to say the least, cause if anybody is glued to the screen more than for 10 hours a day, they have bigger problems than battery life :)

Yes you are correct, a lot of my use is playing music in my work van. I also work in quite remote areas a lot of the day where there is no 4G/3G which also probably helps a lot.

I hear you buddy. Mine is pretty poor - 6 or 7 hours screen and the battery goes down a % every 2 minutes if I touch the thing. Pretty unimpressed, it's the only reason I'm carrying this monster around.

This is actually my second 6+ and it's the same or maybe even worse than the first.

My battery is a beast; I get about 15 hours of constant usage out of mine (facebook, games, other apps) and I couldn't be happier. After reading Phonearena.com's article about battery life being about 6 hours, they need to have their phones exchanged or something.

You think it's worth going to the Apple Store and complaining? I don't really want to hear their shtick about how I should lower my brightness.

They'll run a battery test first and that will tell them where the battery health is percentage wise. If you're battery is good, it should be 100%. If it is 100%, they can look for things that are causing you to have a shorter battery life such as crashes and things like that.

Install ibackupbot and see what you get in battery capacity wise like this one:

If you have a full charge capacity over 3K then there is nothing to worry about, and it's likely a software issue.

Battery

CycleCount: 1
DesignCapacity: 2855
FullChargeCapacity: 3100
Status: Success
BatteryCurrentCapacity: 38
BatteryIsCharging: true
ExternalChargeCapable: true
ExternalConnected: true
FullyCharged: false
GasGaugeCapability: true

Here's what mine said:

CycleCount: 3
DesignCapacity: 2855
FullChargeCapacity: 2900
Status: Success
BatteryCurrentCapacity: 64
BatteryIsCharging: true
ExternalChargeCapable: true
ExternalConnected: true
FullyCharged: false
GasGaugeCapability: true

Should I return it for a new one?

Phone is in airplane mode right now to get the last little bump of charge quickly before I head off to work.

This is a screendump from "More".

"More" is an app that analyzes your apps that are battery suckers and points it out to you.

Check it out.

I've had my phone since September 26 so that ought to have let the battery get used to being charged/discharged etc.

Where do I find this app? I can't find it in the App Store

So this is normal battery?

CycleCount: 14
DesignCapacity: 2855
FullChargeCapacity: 3000
Status: Success
BatteryCurrentCapacity: 29
BatteryIsCharging: true
ExternalChargeCapable: true
ExternalConnected: true
FullyCharged: false
GasGaugeCapability: true

I was within 14 days so they just directly replaced no fuss at all. Same very average battery though.

Hemorrhages battery so quickly.
