Eh, you're probably the kind that resists any change. If a secure connection is needed, there's always the desktop. The * portable * is suppose to well.. lets see.. portable and mobile
Are you aware that the Wifi and Mobile waves can affect your brain if you are exposed for a long time?

"Insecure WiFi' LOL...You really are stuck in the 80s. There are many ways to further secure WiFi than the commercialized POS WEP WPA etc .. I take it you don't work in IT, or at least not on the back end of it or the government!
Yes, buy the Ci$co Aironet AP... but you will still be exposed to DOS DeAuth attacks...

Are you aware of the many, many other kinds of radiation you're exposed to throughout your life? Ones that are much, much more significant than what you get from your cellphone.

Anyone who spends a good amount of time in airplanes is much more at risk than they are from a cell phone.

Which ones are you referring to? The natural ones coming from outside the exosphere or the ones made by the human being inside the troposphere? :D

Wait a minute, you have to take a video a certain way in order to see lag and my video is not showing lag because it was handheld? I'm laughing so hard right now… Is this all you got?

no, you have to take a video a certain way to not look like a guy that's never used a camera. and i'm too lazy to waste time doing that now, realizing i would be arguing with a guy on the internet. ppl know there are lags, if you dont experience it, good for you. from the way you navigate and use the comp in the video, it doesnt seem like it would bother you anyways.

so what exactly could apple do to the second retina macbook?

Apple will take all of the data they've collected via warranty claims, continued testing, and bugs that have surfaced & make changes in both hardware & software to fix those issues no matter how small.

That's what Apple does well. As a result the second years model is refined and so much better. All the little things add up. As a result, you have a better machine, not to mention the other not so little improvements Apple creates in addition to bug fixes. It's one of Apples strengths.

Then you know what I'm talking about and know that cell phones cause brain cancer research due to radiation is entirely bs.

"he thinks microwaves are dangerous!"

Indeed I do not recommend you to use microwaves. It changes the structure of your food!, and the latter are not just calories, it contain light and information. All is about energies and waves, so don't alter the structure and energy of your food...

As a Nuclear Engineer, I can assure you that non-ionizing radiation has no long term effects on you or the food you eat. Your argument about altering the energy and structure of foods is really nonsensical, because heat from a flame does the exact same thing. Are you suggesting cooking food is also bad for us? If you are, we disagree to the point where meaningful discussion can no longer take place, and I highly doubt you have a firm grasp on reality.

Back to the scrolling issues with the rMBP, I just got mine yesterday, and did notice it in Safari, but not the latest version of Chrome. Chrome works just the same as on a 2011 MBP and at least 3 Win 7 x64 machines as far as I can see. I did notice some quirks with the wifi signal cutting in and out, but that could have been more location based in my house and I was downloading a lot of material yesterday (iTunes library is huge, but iTunes Match is incredibly helpful).

Way to back peddle… So first you criticize me by saying you can't see "lag" in a handheld video and that you are going to take a video showing lag in order to show me how to properly shoot a video. Now you are totally reversing yourself by saying you're "too lazy to waste time doing that now". In other words, you can't. Put up or shut up, I say.

In your words, "ppl know there are lags"… okay, well, show us! I fear you may have just hosed your credibility.

Especially for those who tell cock-and-bull stories like they got a maxed rMBP at the price of a cMBP because Apple failed 3 times in a row to send them the right replacement of their cMBP...

Coming from a guy who thinks microwaves will harm your brain....maybe it will harm yours.. if you had a sane one with a decent IQ !

Besides , you jealous ? I could post a receipt and make you eat crow... but looking at your previous POS posts, you're not worth the effort!!

Ladies and gentlemen, because he claims he is a "Nuclear Engineer", we must trust him blindly without any proofs . There are a number of ********s in this forum...:eek:

Human being knows such a little about all phenomenon occurring in this universe, especially in quantum physics... There are such many things science can't explain...

Your argument about altering the energy and structure of foods is really nonsensical, because heat from a flame does the exact same thing.
I can't believe your are what you claim...
Read for instance this article. There so many scientific based researches that studied the impact of denaturating foods, such as industrial foods , white refined sugar,...etc on health. The flame is the best natural energy for cooking, didn't your granma teach you that?. The food you eat everyday can either heal you or kill you slowly... but the you know, the pharmaceutical companies prefer to sell drugs...

Are you suggesting cooking food is also bad for us?
How did you infer it? Again, you are just guessing... As a nuclear engineer, your analysis really lacks of rigour...

Are you aware that radio waves propagate pretty much anywhere you go? And that the strength of the radiation is proportional to the inverse square of the distance?

Also the radio from most wifi sources will be around 50mW. Maximum will be 100mW for consumer equipment. A typical microwave emits 1000W (10,000-20,000 times as much as a wifi source).

Cell phones can emit as much as 2W in a low signal area. And even then, the links between cell phone use and tumor growth are sketchy at best. So even if you shove a wifi radio inside your skull, it'll do less damage than most everyday sources of microwave radiation.

Where did you read that? I said microwaves can harm your health in the long term...

if you had a sane one with a decent IQ !
Don't you know that success is not measured with IQ? there are multiple intelligences... ;)

I think you are eating crow after you ruined your economy to get a $4k laptop... :D. Post your proofs, and if you are saying the truth I will humbly apologize :p

Heat denatures plenty. What do you think you're doing for example when you cook an egg? As the egg turns from clear to white, you're denaturing the proteins. Which doesn't matter anyway since for the most part, our bodies break down proteins into their amino acids. Whether the 3D structure itself remains intact is not really relevant.

If you don't want to eat anything that's denatured, then you need to kill the chicken or cow or whatever and eat it right then and there. Add no salt or any condiments. And you can't freeze it or store it long term otherwise. Because all of that will denature proteins and/or break the cells within the animal (and even plants for that matter)

There are plenty of reasons not to eat microwaved food (doesn't heat evenly, maximum temperature is limited to water's boiling point, generally tastes bad, etc...), but cancer isn't one of those reasons. Or at least until you show me a real scientific study. Not some faceless blogger on a crusade against microwaves

I said, microwaves denaturates your food and can harm your health in the long run...

Long exposure to wifi and sticking the cellphone in your ear while talking will probably affect your brain. Do a test, connect 2 or 3 2W wifi adapters to your computer and sit around, you'll probably feel daisy after a while...

Cell phone big repeaters antennas can do more harm. Cancer cases have been correlated with people living in a building that has those antennas on its roof...
