Raising my hand as another member of the Apple Addicts Society!

It all started back in 2005 when I bought my first iMac....and after that my first iPod. When the iPhone was launched I was in line that first day, even though none of us was really sure what we were getting. The day the first iPad was launched I was there....and because I realized later that I really wanted and needed one with cellular data, when that one was launched a few weeks later once again I was in line....
Jumping to the present time, I'm sitting here with my two iPads (12.9 and 9.7) and my iPhone near me on the workstation as I type on my 2015 15" rMBP, Apple watch on my wrist. This machine works well as a desktop replacement, perched on a stand and using the newest Apple BT keyboard, track pad and mouse. The 13" rMBP is in another room, where it lives most of the time unless I'm taking it with me on a trip. I use that machine with headphones at night very often, especially when watching movies or playing music, so that I don't bother the people in the condo unit above mine. I still prefer using an rMBP for watching movies, although the 12.9 iPad is also great for this purpose, too. I tried an Apple TV back a couple generations ago, realized I hardly ever used it so gave it to a friend and haven't bothered getting the latest version. I rarely watch TV at all, or even movies on the TV. I had an iPad Mini 2, but gave that away once I had the iPhone 6 Plus last yer and found that I didn't really need to carry the iPad Mini with me all the time any more. I much prefer the 9.7 size for everyday use and found that the Mini was just a little too small for my aging eyes.
Using the iPads in bed.....most of the time I use the 9.7, but once in a while I'll use the larger one. In both cases I usually sit up, leaning against a Bedrest thingy and a pillow, propping the iPad against my legs. Sometimes I'll turn to the side and put the iPad down on the bed, too. Works great! If I'm out on my deck in nice weather I use my 12.9 iPad on a stand on the table. I haven't used my pencil much yet for drawing but have found it very useful for replacing a finger from time to time, eliminating "fat finger syndrome" on small icons.
I love all of my devices and each gets plenty of use in various situations. Can't imagine life without any of them now!
