You got a screen shield?? I paid $5.20 for just the black case
haha whatever. That video comparison by that chick was really good though, really helped me decide.
I paid $5.20 for my blue one but i saw this one for less and they claimed it comes with a screen shield. I think the black one will be nice looking.
This, but I'm mainly interested in the red FX. I just ordered one anyway so in a few days I'll know myself, but I'd still like to see one on a white phone.
if you have a microcenter by you they stock red and green, my microcenter is over a hour away tho
Hey guys, I was just wondering which "knockoff" case I should order from eBay. It's the black one that's still "clear" and see-through. All 3 guys have the same pictures for the most part.

Obviously, most people would recommend the cheaper one (which also comes with a screen protector
, but I'm looking for the one with the best quality (yes, I know it's a knockoff but still..).

I received the three I ordered yesterday. I got a Green, Orange ,and the Clear (Smoke). A buddy has the iSkin green and side by side it is hard to tell the difference between it and the knockoff I have. His does say iSkin, but oh well, for half the price I got 3.
I ordered from eBayers Songling740, and Well-Well, they seem to be the same person, package was the same, labels the same, and they arrived at the same time. Highly recommend them.

Hey Bobioden, how are the volume rocker and sleep/wake buttons? Are they easy to press? Also, is the quality decent (do you think it will hold up with gentle use and whatnot)? Lastly, how does the smoke one look with a black iPhone? (High-res picture please) Thanks man

i was in troy, mi eariler today at the apple store, they have the real solofx in blue and red, i tried the blue on and was gonna buy it for $36.95 until i realize the fit was HORRIBLE.. the cutouts for the holes were way off i had my knockoff right next to me to compare, granted the colors of the real solofx blue one are AMAZING the hole lineups were HORRIBLE! even the kid at the applestore was like wow thats horrible.. damn it sucks bc the blue was sexy as hell
The volume rocker, and Sleep/wake buttons are a bit hard to push, but seem to get easier as they are used. Pics of the Smoke on a black 3gs in on page 6, post #138 of this thread.

I have the 2nd one you posted and really like it. Fits the case well and seems to offer a decent amount of protection. Looks good too!
I love my Solo FX case. I got the purple one and it looks great against the black phone. It is slim but provides a decent amount of protection to the phone. It also makes the phone easier to hold and will stop it from slipping off of tables or your dashboard. The only thing I don't like is the mirrored screen protector it came with. I opted for a clear protector, as the mirrored protector makes it almost impossible to see the screen if you're out in bright sunlight.
I bought the clear knock-off and while having the clear one was great for looks the bottom does not fit as well over the dock connector as the iSkin so more dust and stuff gets on the bottom bezel, which ended up scratching the bottom bezel over the course of a few days. I'm back using the blue iSkin Solo FX which doesn't have this issue
Odd i thought my knockoff bottom was a little tighter then the iskin. Maybe you got a "wack" molding?

It's actually the cutout for the dock connector, which is bigger than the iSkin so that part of bezel right above the dock connector is exposed. That's the part that got scratched up.
Will do. I have heard that you have to kind of massage the case into place the first few times and then it fits better so that all the holes line up correctly; I'm hoping I don't have a really severe problem with mine.
OK, I got mine last night and there actually was no massaging required. The holes all lined up perfectly, with the slight exception of the headphone jack. It'll be fine for my Bose or Skullcandy headphones, but if you have a headphone with a fat jack, you might need to squoosh it up a little bit to make the jack be in the exact center. I do like the flexibility of the case, though--it at least leads me to believe that a fatter jack might be possible, as opposed to the CandyShell, where it's pretty obvious that it won't.

Am I the only one who has noticed bezel scratching from the knockoff ones from ebay? I've got a clear one and the cutout for the dock is different than the iSolo. There some of the bezel exposed and the case at the small strip for the dock opening sits slightly different on the bezel. Anyway, I've noticed a bit of scratching on the bottom bezel above this opening from the knock off, which I definitely don't get using the iSkin Solo.
