I Ordered My Retina iMac High End What did you get?

Why do you say that? Has Apple cancelled your order?
 
Nah, just left us wondering what was happening when order statuses didn't change from processing or stepped back from preparing for shipment back to processing then we started getting emails telling us our delivery dates have been delayed by at least a week for no apparent reason.

I rang and asked yesterday and was given some crap about couriers not being able to cope with demand.
 
Hmmmm...ordered retina imac on 5th November with delivery 25th to 28th November..like others, been checking the status page almost daily and nothing had changed...until today.

The status page was unable to load for a couple of hours this morning due to "number of people try to access this page, please check again later". Now it's saying "oops something went wrong, unable to access this page". I think my date is also now moving back!
 
Panic over, the Your Orders page is back up and my original delivery dates are still the same...for now!

Checked just now at 7:08 AM EST and page loaded. No change in date yet.

Also, if you configure an iMac today it says "2-3 weeks deliver" so your date may not change.

Still no change from processing, still no change of delivery estimate, still no email from Apple.

I have to admit the longer this goes on the more I'm thinking of cancelling the order.

I've had the same experience with my order - i7, 8GB Ram, 3TB Fus, AMD 295X + Apple Care

I ordered mine on the 2nd Nov. Available to ship in 7-10 days, delivers 17-20/11

Still stuck on Processing Items, no email received, bank still holding payment.

I ordered mine 30th Oct and mine was 7 - 10 days, delivers 17-20 Nov too but although mine changed to 'preparing for shipment' I got an email last week telling me that there was a delay and wouldn't be shipped until 24th (or before allegedly). The order status on the apple site still displays the old info.
 
Wow now I feel like I just jinxed myself.

Less than 30 minutes after my post I received an email from the Apple Store.

Your order will now ship on or before 5-7 business days and deliver on or before 27/11 - 1/12. Status has been updated on Apple website as well.

:( This sucks
 
I think I'd rather be in the club than out of it at the moment.

I feel like Apple have forgotten about me now
 
Sounds corny I know but all good things come to those who wait.

I keep telling myself that at least I'm going to get mine eventually and I've done most of my waiting. This time next week I should be waiting for a knock on my door (provided Apple don't move the deliver date again) and in a few weeks time my imac and I will be together and all of this nonsense will be in the past and I can feel smug when I read that other people are having to wait weeks to get theirs :D:p

I've waited 2 years to get to the position where I can finally get one and I'm not going to give up now.
 
Just got off the phone with Apple. Told them I placed my order on November 1 and have received no updates since then. I mentioned that there was a hold on my CC that dropped off and they said that there was a hold now on my CC. I said I checked just before calling and there was no hold.

They also said really nothing other than my order looks good to go and I "should" hear something soon but they have really no connection to the factory so that is their opinion not a fact.

WELL! After hanging up there is now a NEW hold on my CC that went on just now but my order status still says "Processing."

I hope the new hold means it will ship this week as promised delivery is the 19th-24th.

UPDATE:

Just got email:
Delivers Nov 17 - Nov 20 by 2-3 Business Days

So it still says processing but they upgraded my shipping from standard to 2-3 business days.

so i'm still awaiting my replacement full spec iMac 5k to be shipped. The order was put in 1st of November where I was told because it was a replacement it would be shipped within 48 hrs due to priority.

Well 2 weeks passed and I called again on the 14th and was told that due to it being a bto it will delivery by the 17th to 20th.

Well todays the first delivery day and its still showing processing.

I called them this morning and i'm told its due to ship out today and for sure it'll be delivered by the 20th.

10 min ago I just got an email saying it's been delayed to the 27th to 1st of dec.

So now apple sends out delay notification after a certain item is due and not before?

I just called apple and asked why people are managing to get their shipping upgraded when I was told it was the couriers to blame for the delay. The rep apologised and said that was what they had been told last week so I asked if I can have mine upgraded to make up for the inconvenience and was told it wouldn't make any difference because they always ship as fast as they can and that the dispatch date they gave me (24th) is worst case scenario and it will be sent before then.

Why do I get the feeling I'm being given the run around?
 
Hmm, just called Apple.

They told me it all looks ok and should ship any day. Payment has been taken and I will have it by the 21st.

I said the payment was showing as on hold but has now vanished and they said no it all looks good.

So I'll expect to receive my email saying its been moved back any time now :p
 
Ordered the 14th of November, free 2-3 days shipping estimated dec 8-11th i7,295x,256ssd

Ordered 3rd November before 8:00am, Worcestershire UK.

So basically no chance of getting it on the 21st, just a telephone operator fobbing me off.

Strange thing is the payment side. It showed as pending and it then vanished but she said payment had been taken. Maybe they're going to give it to me for free? :cool:
 
Cancelled

Cancelled mine. Hopefully someone will get bumped up and get theirs sooner since I ordered on 10/31. Just picked up a 15 MacBook Pro for now.
