I Ordered My Retina iMac High End What did you get?

Pleased to hear that it's not a shortage of 1TB SSDs. And congratulations tatty27.

Unfortunately still nothing here. :( Not from lack of checking my order status, that's for sure!

I do have a question: how exactly does the message come, when it does? I've heard people say email, and others say iMessage.

I was notified via email and iMessage.
 
Same here I recieved an email and a wonderful text message saying it was shipped right after I got an email saying it was delayed until dec.

I guess even if you pick next day air they still can't really deliver it next day because it has to pass customs from China.

For those of you that haven't shipped yet I would call apple and let them know you want to buy the fastest shipping possible. That's what I did and said I'm ready to provide my cc information.

The lady said that's ok I will upgrade you for free as a good will jester. I thought that was cool. Because of that I'm getting it Tuesday instead of after thanksgiving.

I did that twice and twice they fobbed me off telling me that they always send new stuff as quick as they can. They told someone else who posted on this thread the same thing too.

My iMac is preparing to ship. so next week i can expect it to arrive at last.

I got an email about 15 minutes after the status changed to shipped and a text message about an hour later.

And thanks ;)

Mine is due 26th but last time I looked still in Shanghai:rolleyes:

Thinking with thanksgiving next week maybe that's why the system giving you 1st dec. probably on the same plane as mine so hopefully the beat the estimate.
 
Shipped today :)

Yeah .. but let's not believe in coincidences. I called Apple CS and 'pretend' a bit pissed about the delivery time. 30 min later they shipped (as the time in my UPS tracking) but get my email after 3 hours. As everyone noticed they deliver first to ones that are still into the original/rescheduled timeframe.
Maybe it's time to do your call Thorf, who knows they may move faster.

Scheduled delivery on 25 Nov. Time to declutter my desk. Yeah will take me 1 minute .. just throw everything else and let my rImac alone shine :D
 
My iMac is on the way, too. Expected to arrive on November 26th (says UPS) or 27th (says Apple).

Apple customer service promised me a 100€ refund for the delay. Haven't heard from them since Saturday though, so I take that with a grain of salt.

Thanks to all of you for sharing your information, especially to Thorf13 for creating that spreadsheet. I hope your machine will soon arrive.

They sent it Expedited as well!!!!

Its in my support profile now too. One question, I got Apple care also so why does it say extend coverage in my profile.

Surely it should be auto added?

Good news, congrats :). Expedited is the standard with ups I think. Express is the one really need but heh it's on it's way. Lot of time for ups they are a good courier. :)

The email came two hours ago, at 5 am here. Interestingly, the tracking info says my shipment was picked up by the courier, Kuroneko, yesterday just after 5 pm. So it took twelve hours for the email to come after that.

The email says delivery should be on the 25th. :)

I just updated the spreadsheet. I've also changed it so that anyone can edit it, so feel free to update your own info as necessary. If it gets vandalised I'll take it down. I think it's getting to the end of its usefulness anyway.

It looks like we have shipping either on the way or completed for everyone who ordered up until November 6th, and even reports from some people who ordered very recently having already shipped too.

It looks like this delay is winding down, and this time next week we should hopefully all have our new machines sitting on our desks. :D
 
Ordered Nov 3rd rimac 295 / 512ssd / 8gigram supposed to arrive Nov 17-20th.

Got delayed and was notified by email I would expect to receive it Dec 1-3.

Like most of you received tracking info few days ago and it's arriving the 25th.

I also got an email yesterday that my expedited shipping would be refunded to me, but I would still get it (without me needing to call in to complain to CS).

I think they're proactively trying to mitigate angry phone calls.

Also my iMac has been dispatched!

Configuration: i7/295/8GB/256GB
Country: Italy
Ordered on 27th of October
Processing on 28th of October
Prepare for Dispatching on 11th November
Dispatched on 29th of November
Due to arrive on 3rd of December (standard shipping)

What a long journey!:)

I'm a bit disappointed for shipping time and I hope that my iMac will arrive next week... :)

Now let's start with courier page refreshing!!! ;)
