I cannot really make up if it are bad photos or that it's just cut down ugly.

I was really liking the plating at first but if there are spots witch did not cover (on the Band and on the watch behind the adapter) that's not really a improvement above the normal SS model.

Is there not another way of dipping the Watch? So this parts are also plated?

Hope to see some more pictures the coming days, this are not doing it justice. The YouTube video earlier was a better example.

If you're talking about the missed spot on the backside of the magnetic end, it's not visible when closed, no different from the OP. Yet you say it's not an improvement above the normal SS model?

Wasn't the YouTube video that of the classic buckle so not directly comparable?

Is it just poor reflection, or are there spots on the band and the crown that are missing some plating?

These pictures were taken with my iPhone 5, not at best lighting.
It is just poor reflection. Actually the plating on the watch body look better than the milanese loop.

damn I wish I was doing 1000 a day at $400 a pop. my website is operating at a far lower clip haha. I have to somehow link it to new apple devices. I do stickers and printing....screen protectors? Skins? hmm.

I mean it's not a improvement (in my eyes that is) above the normal SS if it's not totally plated.

Even it that part is behind the Watch adapter of on the Band.

On the YouTube video the plating looks more solid and one "colour" than on the pictures in the last page. But he did not remove the band.

Can the 100$ flat fee be taken away for Canadian orders? Shipping to Canada isn't that expensive.

How do you think it looks in person?

That's right, he did not remove the band so not directly comparable. You get what you pay for so feel free to shell out $4,200 for the other company to send you a gold-plated Watch.

It's probably worth pointing out that it's very difficult to take good photos of something highly reflective like gold. I imagine some of the uneven coloring is really just due to reflections.

Yellow gold is super feminine, just ask this guy:

It doesn't mean gold Milanese Loop isn't on the feminine side. While Milanese loops are traditionally a men's band, they had thicker mesh (which is rather masculine). Apple made the mesh more fine in order to make their Milanese Loop unisex. Gold-plating it changes this equation to make it more feminine. Whether or not gold is feminine depends entirely on the design (e.g., gold-plating the link bracelet doesn't make it more feminine).

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Ryan does black chrome plating too. I'd do that if I had the Milanese loop and it'll in fact make it more masculine.

Watchpate.com must have a new holding/dipping racks
If each rack can hold 20 or 50 then it is not a problem for them

----------

Here is observations:
The band lugs slide in and out of the watch body slots work fine and lock-in mechanism feel fine.
The crown push in and out seem normal, however it is "just a little" stiff to rotate the crown. Hope in a few days it will be back to normal.

Would I recommend to members of this forum...
Yes! I give it a 9/10...
Thanks Wachplate.com and Mr Ryan Flynn...

Sure!! No problems

After 1/2 day using it, the crown now rotate freely like it should be.

Please link us to photos from users with an Edition, because I haven't seen any. Professional photos from Apple don't count.

What's wrong with the pictures in the OP and the YouTube of the gold-plated Classic Buckle?

customer photos look good, but still, i can't believe everyone thinks that OP created this business from the ground up in the last 1.5 weeks.

clearly, OP had the intention of starting this business long time ago and was using macrumors to advertise for free. I dont buy the fact that he came here just to show off his wife's watch. he came on here to see what initial demand would be, how much he should charge, and use it as a free advertising platform.

also, still turned off by OP changing the facts about the cost of gold (from $6 to $60). and the fact that he claims most of the costs are related to labor: when he just said he is able to do 1000 a day. anywho, i may end up sending mine in when i get my watch, but i hope OP becomes more transparent in his business in the future and responds to customers more actively

I also found his photography website if anyone wants to contact him

http://ryanflynnphotography.net/contact/

You should email Ryan about your concerns if you're at all interested. I love my watchplated Apple watch and I was highly skeptical. Frankly I got more emails and feedback from Ryan on a $399 purchase than I did from apple on a $700 purchase. And just so you know, he did start this business from scratch and is a man of his words.

But I'm not going to act like this is a commercial for watchplate, honestly email them. They will get back to you ASAP.

My crown was also a little stiff when I got the watch back, but it honesty worked itself loose after a few hours.i think it's a byproduct of the plating process. And my watch has worked just like before the plating all day.

Watchplate Review

I got my watch back yesterday and posted pics and for some reason my post has disappeared. I'll post them again here. First, the watch looks stunning! My wife laughed at me when I told her I was doing this (rightfully so), but when she saw it plated and the website she immediately wanted the rose gold version. Beyond the look of the watch, nothing else has changed, it works perfectly, no scratches, blemishes of any kind.

I love the milanese loop, but I really like my leather band with the gold plated clasp. Makes the watch look very classy.

After 24 hours of using it, I can still say that it's in great shape. The crown turns smoothly and all buttons work as expected.

Thank you so much Ryan and sorry for being a paranoid pain in the a$$ leading up to shipping my watch and getting it back.

Are you left handed? Is that why you're wearing the watch on your right? That's what I'll probably be doing if I get the watch.

Yep, left handed. I actually took my watch into the apple store the day after I got it because the raise to activate wasn't working well even though it was on my right wrist. The manager suggested I actually change it so that the crown was on the bottom left as shown in the pics. It works every single time since then.

Now if I could only get siri to stop being so damn difficult...
